Imlie's Journey so far and next

In Insta and Twitter and somewhat here I see a lot of focus on the romance part of Adilie which brought out positive and negative comments. My take on whats happened so far is a bit different.

Especially the last 2 episodes have brought to light how much this girl needs guidance, someone to believe her, someone to take her to the exams. Her outburst during the PD people believing Adhi vs her showed her emotional pain of what she has gone through out the show so far. She did not have a voice. She had to accept her fate. She never got to address or show the pain she was in due to the choices made by the PD people. Then there was Adhi who ignored her and choose for her. Married another! Completely ignored her for a long time.

I know that Adhi changed over time and fell in love during the kidnapping fiasco and after Imlie leaving. The last few episodes first showed his concern for her and her dreams and then transitioned to him seeing himself happier with Imlie (with his imaginary dance) the jealousy (dance and the outburst) The outburst of the getting married to Pari had such ramifications for Imlie in PD yet again.

There is this huge arch here of female empowerment and how to truly help her set into he right path. However the so called triangle seems to get more precedence. The romance keeps taking precedence. Now with Adhi accepting her as his wife again puts the triangle back into the front runner. The focus is shifting back to who he loves more etc. I would rather he leave and sort out the mess of his other marriage with Malini. It was a disaster from day 1. Basically when she fainted and he never got to reveal his turmoil. There is a lot of backlash in twitter now with poor malini now but it should have been day 1. Keeping that big secret at that point of time itself to me is just as worse now him having feelings/love for Imlie. He was having an emotional connection with another from day 1.

A small tangent here to discuss about Malini who doesn't seem to have anything else going in her life than Adhi. Thought out the show she seems to give in and suppress her inner voice and tries to be a sweet little wife. I hope this arch ends soon and she finds her own voice for her own sake. I just don't see hope for this marriage that started with secrets. Even if Malini is not at fault for this one, she should not be subjected to a relationship where the other keeps secrets.

Back to Imlie who now needs to feel empowered to survive in PD or Delhi. She needs direction in her life. Adhi will leave in few days yet again devastating her. I know he will be devastated by it too.

I might have ranted a little too much here but the jist of it is that all three of them will be in a mess and I would like the focus to shift from the triangle (affair, sharam bla bla) and focus on the core problems each character is facing. I want Imlie to find a direction in her life to stand on her own rather than the narrative other wife/woman. I want Adhi and Malini to focus on their marriage and watch it fall apart.

Whatever is going to happen it has been a great ride so far with the cast and crew. The story is just so captivating to watch. Well written, well directed and well acted. I look forward to the next arch.

Can't speak for the hyperness of Twitter/Insta😆.....but here, I think a lot of the discussion has been focused on the emotional realizations between Adi-Imlie.

I won't even call what Adi-Imlie have a romance yet....it's more an emotional rollercoaster than romance. The story is essentially about three very tangled up lives and relationships....and that will likely continue to be the backdrop for most of this journey.

The empowerment portions with Imlie achieving her dreams and Malini finding some stability will happen in the long run but they will never be the central storylines....those will always be built around the complications of human nature, and how that complicates relationships between these three.

I'm not looking forward to the inevitable tamasha of affair, other woman angle etc. but this is also a TRP driven soap at the end of the day....so melodrama bhi laayenge.

Imlie is very much on the path to finding her direction in life....but Adi is going to be a part of that journey regardless....he is one of the instruments/catalysts in that journey as Destiny has put him in her path.

I agree with you. This is such a good show. I just want it to be shown without the affair tamasha. It keeps taking central stage. Example had so many scenes with Malini 'shak'. Anu instigating something.

The core of the show will be about relationships and the empowerment will be overshadowed; but i look forward for it as well.

First of all why bring Twitter and IG stuff here again not at all according to IF guidelines we are not supposed to bring outside mediums here.. and secondly all the rabid reactions stem out is insecurities from other places caz imlie solidified it's place so quick and people cannot understand why..

As mentioned here so many times before that it may sound wohi typical on paper for those who don't watch it heck my personal reaction was mehh ek aur ghissi pitti story at first until I actually watched it and went wowzers this is nothing like what it looked like due to the complexity and layers and nuances added

Dusra aayi baat why is romance focused again it is a very broad generalization that you are doing...if you have followed the discussions then you must've known that we are focused beyond just romance there is so much more but yeah the relationship.takes center stage caz it forms the Crux of the story and you can't separate that from.the individual characters .. so it is pretty unfair to say sabko bas romance chahiye..if a show is based on triangle obviously it will be talked about

The reason that is happening is cuz the secret of Adi-Imlie's marriage will not be revealed to the other characters for a long time....and until that happens, they will all keep doing this kind of "shak" only on Adi-Imlie....that is what they build drama around for the story.....only saving grace is that we get a good overall story and characters despite such phases in b/w.

The hyperness on Twitter/Insta is built around over-reacting to every little thing without understanding context or nuance....so I really don't bother with it much😆

Was not aware of the Twitter/IG guidelines. I wonder where to read that, i am fairly new to the forum.

Back to the other stuff, It is coming more from me loving Imlie the character so much that I do want her to find some peace and move a little forward with her life. As per romance part i was not picking on what is being talked about just my own view on what i would like to see next..

Not trying to attack anyone!

I will be doing the same now. The story is just too good to be nuanced! :)

I understand 😊 am not saying you are picking on anyone.. I understand your love for imlie but her individual journey is separate from her relationship and she is making progress on that front too.. I mean it is rare in itself ke itna bhi they are showing otherwise wih the shaadi things take a turn towards LLHH and gharelu politics hence it is a progress by the standards of TV.. sure we would like to see that too but suddenly her individual journey wouldn't take center stage caz essentially it is about the complexity of their bonding and human emotions in regards to that then finding your way 😊

Yes honey best policy is to ignore 👏 the more you will read the more exhaustion you will feel.. best is to enjoy at your own pace and view the story from.your pov caz otherwise the randomness begins to impact you and 99% of time is is just bakwaas coming out for the sake of showing you have a voice on these SM sites and no understanding whatsoever 😀 I have experience 😆 it really hampers one's experience
