episode begins with Pandit ji asking them to light a diya and pray that they remain together like Diya Baati all their lives .
Imli’s mother calls the girls to start dancing . Dhol is brought n girls start dancing . All ask Adi to join dancing but he declines, he gets very jealous as Imli’s childhood buddy Prakash offers to dance with her .
Much to her surprise Adi starts beating dhol and imli very happily dances around him. They have moments of closeness and happy eyelocks
Malini’s father Dev is going out of station for work , he will be visiting Pagdandiya after that , Malini’s mother too. Wants to join him, but he declines to take her along. He will be meeting his daughter there . She had lived 19 yrs of her life alone without her father . Malini’s daadi feels Dev better seek forgiveness from his daughter n give her his name . They are pleasantly surprised to see Malini enter home. Malini’s mother have war of words with Malini’s Bhaiya bhaabhi in law . She insulted him, they ask her not to judge them .
Bhaiya bhaabhi assures Malini’s mother , that they bothered equally about their Malini bhaabhi n Aditya Bhaiya . If Adi Bhai was at fault he would surely apologise . They take farewell and leave . Malini mother Anu taunts Nishant that he himself had disappeared for years on end, how is he so sure Adi will return home ?? daadi stops Anu for taunting them. .
Anu advises Malini to keep watch on Adi’s movements . Malini protests that relationships can’t develop in this way . She asks her was she keeping an eye on her dad ?? He too had gone for a trip !!
Adi is overwhelmed by the efforts Imli’s mother had taken tk arrange daawat for every one . He offers to take them out for meal at hotel . Imli asks him not to bother .
Imli gets emotional that he already did so much for her sake , he stopped for one more day , this was enough for her . She begs with joined hands that he had called her family as his own but she could not call his family as hers . Pleads him not to do anything else for her , lest she starts missing him. She reminds him that he better remember his promise to Malini didi . He should not think of her .
Adi asks her to think only of herself n call all her friends in the village .
At night Imli’s mother reminds imli that she had lit Mannat ka Diya , she would have to keep watch on it all night !! Prakash offers to give Imli company . Adi gets jealous of Imli Prakash friendship n offers to give Imli company ,,, asks Prakash not to bother .
Imli is confused, why was he behaving in this manner !!
adi too is confused .. what was-he doing !! He had never accepted himself as Imli’s husband , then why was he doing this now !!
At Malini’s house , lights go out , generator fails , they light candles . Malini shares her woes with her , that Adi was behaving strangely with her . She misses Aditya , she weeps for him.

At village Adi Imli have talk , she reminds him of his commitment to Malini didi, he says no one could do what Imli was doing .
Later while guarding the Mannat ka Diya Adi burns his hand while trying to safe guard it . Imli is shocked to see this .
