i hope when malini tells adi that she suspected him buying the dress for imlie seeing that receipt he questions her back that what would have went wrong if the gift was given by him n not by sundar? i want to know what answer she gives to him, only then we can clearly judge who is wrong here adi or imlie.

I don't think Malini is at all insecure type. If anything she's extremely secure in her marriage and her husband knows that. There are innumerable canon evidence to that.

A insecure woman wouldn't invite a young girl inside their room on their wedding night ,nor would she wrap her husband's wedding night shawl around her to keep her warm. No insecure woman would send her husband away with Imlie the way Aditya took her to Pagdandiya alone. Anu tried to send her after him and she firmly put her down saying she won't go after her husband like that. She found Aditya hugging Imlie from behind in the bed and laughed merrily knowing well Aditya is incapable of doing this knowingly. She firmly shot down Anu once again when she sent her the bike ride video clip and in fact it was her who sent Aditya to pick up Imlie.

For once I whole heartedly agree with Aditya that this lie was completely unnecessary and it was in fact an insult that she did to him and his wife by this lie as if it was needed at all. Malini wouldn't have minded in the least bit if she'd found out in the 1st place. It's the hiding that makes it wrong. So if Aditya gives Rupali or Nidhi a red saree on the V day does that mean he's having other kind of feelings for them ?? Day doesn't matter , relationship does. Imlie is part of the family and Aditya's conscience is very clear about where she stands in his life. Which is exactly why he can causally gift her one on this day .

By lying she forced him to lie to Moon once again. If she really thought Moon would have minded , she could have said that to Aditya and returned the gift ,asking him to give it by Moon's hand and make sure to include Malini from the next time. See ?? There is always a very simple and clean way of doing things, if you only want to do it in a clean and proper way. But no , this girl has to play chori chori chupke chupke with Babusaheb and also be mahaan savior complex at the same time. Now she's even included Sundar in it. What a mess! Just imagine if Sundar finds out it was given by Aditya now , he'll promptly think why'd Imlie hide it and lie to the family in the 1st place ?? What a false position and restriction she placed on Aditya once again. No wonder he remains so frustrated with her most of the times. She gave a different twist to a simple heartfelt genuine gesture of human kindness.

I want to ask Imlie, would you have hidden the truth if it was given to her by Nishant?? She'd laugh with joy and show the gift to everyone in the family and they'd have laughed with joy alongside her . Then why not do the same with Aditya's gift ?? Every one including Malini would have been overjoyed that Aditya's attitude towards Imlie is changing since they were mad at him for always treating him so badly. Malini included. She's protected Imlie from Aditya's wrath since day 1 and begged him time and again to change his attitude and behavior towards Imlie. Did she mind in the least bit when Aditya brought a kurta for Imlie without telling her that first time?? Not at all.

He's not upset that she took Sundar's name, he's eyes for his wife only and even a blind can see that and so can the Tripathis but he was upset as he was right to do ,that by doing so she once again made him a liar in front of his wife and family something that is his biggest torture as he's said to Imlie many a times it keeps him awake at night and tortures his soul.

Malini is inherently a very good person, there is no denying that! She has always stepped forward to protect Imlie and probably will in the future! The one example I want to give here though is from Ramayan...Kaikei was also inherently a good person and she loved shri ram with all her heart and considered him her own son... when Mantra first told her that she should value Bharat over Ram as Bharat was her own son, she became so angry at Mantra for even suggesting it...but Mantra kept repeating the same thing over and over again and ultimately completely convinced her that her love for ram was unwarranted. Years of love for Ram vanished from a few hours of conversation with Mantra.

The same thing is happening (or will happen) with Malini, where Mrs. C is Mantra. She has already sown the seed that Imlie is the one who will destroy her and Adi's relationship...and even though Malini does not necessarily believe that right now, there's a part of her that is hyper alert around Aditya and Imlie. She has started to wonder about small things...like both of them being sick at the same time..and then him giving half his kadha to Imlie... so though she is not insecure right now, it's not long before she will become insecure.

Of course, this doesn't mean that they should keep the gift giving a secret. In fact, the other question I had is...if Aditya had wanted to gift something to Imlie and didn't want it to be a secret, why didn't he tell Malini about it first? Wouldn't it be the most natural thing to tell Malini...his wife..."I saw Imlie's salwar suit was torn...I think we should buy her one. Why don't you select something nice?" Malini is a girl so she might also have better input on what clothes to buy. Why did he go out alone himself and do it without telling anyone in the first place?

I am also not blaming Imlie in this scenario, to be honest. For one thing, she's young. And last time she blabbered in front of the whole family about not being allowed to enter adi's room, Aditya got into major trouble and was yelled at. Afterward Adi also told her that the whole family would be hurt if they found out from anyone else. So Imlie is likely just trying to be over-careful right now...which is why she probably lied about who the gift came from.

Adi is not blameless here either - after so many reminders from Moon - why give Imli a dress only from him. If he loves his wife as much as he tries to project - he should consider themselves an unit and take Malini's feedback regarding her wanting to be involved with him in caring for Imlie to heart. He who has never bought anything on his own for Malini goes to a store and presents it to Imlie - only from him. Both are wrong. But instead of correcting Adi's mistake - Imlie expounds on it.

I considered that Imlie may have interpreted Adi's gift as a response to what she asked him earlier - what am i to you now?...and seen his gift as a token of his love and affection however misplaced that may be...hence her need to hide the gift. During their dialogue she realized Adi was claiming he was doing it more out of pity. She was hurt - when she repeated his words - 'anyone'? like she was no one special but just about anyone. It is good - she kept her composure and spoke calmly - I loved it.

I'm hoping today is a turning point for her. The way she stood up for herself and did not get agitated about his feedback - this composure and independence may take their relationship to the next step...unless makers decide to make her comic relief again. :(

Forgot to add - today she made it clear - she was taking a stand for herself as well. So far it has always been what Adi wants - today for the first time - Imlie said twice she did not want anyone perceiving her as wrong - thereby exercising her right to make a decision to involve Sundar. She told him twice to go back upstairs and not to fret about the situation since they were both on the same page :)

Very well put! Aditya had no need to go out and buy it himself. If my father, for example, was buying a gift for our house help, he would definitely consult my mom. In fact, the gift would never come only from him. It would be from both my mom and him. Because otherwise, it looks weird and wrong....besides it's the most natural thing to consult your wife and ask her for input on what clothes to buy.... Aditya himself isn't clear on what he's feeling and he's passing that onto Imlie.... Sometimes he says "we need to be careful about what we say" and other times he says "why did you lie to keep this a secret? could've just told the family."

I can definitely see why Imlie would take it the wrong way...especially because she's so young. And yesss! I also loved that she had a conversation with Aditya today (probably for the first time!) Right or wrong, she held her ground in front of him and justified her actions. I liked that and hoping for more such scenes in the future (instead of aditya just going on a yelling rampage or her crying while Aditya talks to her)

Rahi baat giving dress ki aisa toh nahi hai imlie has only one dress and he should have given her the dress some another day ...

Secondly he gave red dress woh bhi without his wife concerned and then expecting imlie should appreciate him in front of everyone ...why ?he has done out of charity aur bol bhi diya .poor imlie se...

Means like he is standing at wrong side and expects his both wife should listen or trust him ...

First he should clear his stand of relationship with imlie and moon ..who stands where ..rather then first missing imlie and nxt moment gale pad ke dancing with moon🤢 and phir ready to ask question when someone rejected appreciation for u or your dress

Aditya dragged Malini into this mess. He chose to do that with her and now he's giving lectures about keeping secrets and how the truth is so profound it will come out eventually🤣

He claims his relationship with Malini is so strong and yet he can't tell her the one basic truth...the elephant in the room...that Imlie is his first wife and they were forced to marry in PD.

And great point about the dress as well. It's not like this was the only dress she had. And he did not gift her a casual salwar kameez that she could wear at home either...it was literally party wear. Imlie wears very simple salwar suits...and he gifted her something to wear to a party on valentine's day. Even if the day means nothing to him (challo chodo, maybe he thinks valentine's day is no big deal), but Malini and the rest of the family consider it a rather big occasion and had she have told the family that Aditya bought it for her...there definitely would've been some questions raised..or at least some discomfort. And Malini would feel bad. Whether she'd feel insecure or not is a different story, but she'd feel bad. It's her first valentine's day with him after marriage and to some extent she'd feel sad that her husband isn't giving just her gifts, but also others.

Really, the rope has always been in Aditya's hands. Malini and his family don't know about any of this and to be honest, Imlie is also equally innocent, she's just going along with whatever her husband is saying because she considers herself to be married to him. The choice has always been in Aditya's hands...to tell the truth or not...and he chose to not tell the truth. He claims he doesn't believe she's married to him and he doesn't believe in their relationship...but the fact is, he has kept Imlie in his house... so to some degree, in his heart and mind, he does believe that there is a bond between them.

What he is doing to Malini is absolutely unfair. She really didn't need to be dragged into this mess!

And if he wants to just take responsibility of Imlie, then why is he feeling bad when she took Sundar's name instead of his for the gift😆..after all, she's just his responsibility right? No strings attached? SO itna jal ke raakh kyun hogaya banda🤣
