But initially after adi and rani's (adi-same name and rani-malini) marriage adi and kasthuri(imli) both will come to the hills(a tribal village). They do some village customes and all. Kasthoori will stay outside the room where adi stays at night and morning she gets severe fever. Then adi will come back and bring her back to city.But imlie is definitely not following this as this had many negative characters and it deviated from original too like rani becoming pregnant, then abortion and adi doubting her etc etc, it focused on them only.

i am kind of sure imlie never gonna take path of any deviation from the original i mean the bengali one, if it will follow something then that would be bengali one otherwise it's gonna make it's own path which too will be more of adilie only.

Though I must say, I’m not so surprised that he declared her his wife in front of the officers because it’s quite instinctual now for him to acknowledge that whenever Imlie is in some sort of danger or trying to get out of a tricky situation. Remember even earlier in the show when that guy sent by Nakli Nani to follow them was grabbing Imlie, Adi declared her his wife then also. The day I’ll fully swoon is when he calls Imlie his wife without any form of danger around with full passion. That said I love hearing him call her his wife no matter the circumstance. Deep down we know he believes it to be true even if he’ll use the circumstances as an excuse to talk himself out of believing he deeply cares for her. He didn’t even create a scene about “Imlie Aditya Kumar Tripathi” being written on her mark sheets. On the contrary, he told Imlie to take special care of them. Hmmm 😳
