Why is Imlie feeling sad?

She never wanted to marry. She was forced to marry this complete stranger. Any girl.would have been terrified in this situation. Adi is not someone who would take advantage of an alone girl and that's one of the good parts of his character. So why does she feel pain seeing him and Malini together? She should be relieved that soon she will be free from this unwanted bond.

Frankly speaking she should again start her friendly banters with sunder. They are so fun to see. Much better than adi taunting and accusing her all the time.

Imlie is a traditional & loyal girl. No matter what she says, she still thinks Adi is her husband & that she's a married girl now. That's why she's sad. It's not like she loves Adi or anything. It's just she thinks herself married to him (which is the truth).

She is of very progressive thoughts. She has many times questioned herself that she knew this was gonna happen then why she feels sad. I guess we will get to know when she herself answers this.

I think she is sad because of a few of reasons

1. Even though the marriage was forced, it never got a proper closure. So somewhere in the back of her head she considers Aditya to be her husband.

2. She has become attached to Tripathis

3. She is afraid what she will answer to people back in pagdandiya

4. Probably because of how Aditya constantly treats her badly and taunts her all the time as if forced marriage was all her fault

Why'd she not be sad ??

Granted she didn't want to marry ever and wanted to make her career her life. But she's now married to Aditya, whether either of them likes it or not. So of course she regards him as her husband, which is what she's been taught all her life. Call it sanskar, call it brain washing. Depends on your thinking. But just because Aditya chose to brush the entire matter under the carpet doesn't mean Imlie must do that.

And her being sad doesn't take away from her being strong. If anything it makes her stronger, better be sad and yet go on doing your work rather than be a bitter hypocrite and use another helpless party as your personal punching bag.

I completely agree! The Imlie we met in Pakdandiya was very different. She was in control of her destiny. She was ambitious, smart, and knew what she wanted in life. When life knocked her back, she cried but picked herself and moved on.

Now, she cries all the time. And feels sorry for herself. I realize the marriage was a huge blow to her. It forced her into a new world. She is trying to find her place in the world again.

But why is she sad about Aditiya's second marriage? Does she want to be his real wife? 😳

Deep inside she thought city guy will easily fall for her just like her father fell for her mother. But Aditya is sakth launda. So she makes this sad face and spoils the celebration.
