Humsafars | Harshad Chopda
Harshad Chopda is an actor who always believes in working on himself no matter what the scene. He first reads the screenplays, understands the nuances that are expected in the scene and he derives what the audience perception of the scene is. Then he talks with the creative team to understand and marry that with what the writer and creative team want from him in terms of deliverance.
Then comes talking to the director. He then goes to the set and works out the choerography of the scene, does rehearsal and then the take happens.
We bring one such moment we captured between Gorky and ourselves. One of him reflecting before the scene was to be shot. He is in his own clothes and on the set working out with the team how the movement is to happen.
And then we took the shot of him shooting the scene.
You all might have a question how does he get so much time? Well, you see basically, Harshad is the hero of the show, Saahir Azim Choudhary and he is besides being punctual, conscientious towards his craft. So, mystery solved. Of course, we all joke on the set that Aarzoo has to be more scenes than him so he gets his time in the twelve hours a day to read and prepare and yes, give narration to Shivya or whoever is part of the scene in between shots so that they can deliver better.
Yes, it is all about team work, understanding that daily soaps work on strict deadlines and performance is something that would take time and dedication. That is what he does.
Watch him every Monday to Friday at 8:30pm in Humsafars on Sony TV as Saahir and get your fill of the guy who believes work is worship.
