Vish why have u mentioned geet n QH from the under the stable of the PH n not their "cult fave " IPKKND ? Did u know there was a HUGE controveersy arnd every show from this PH, especially when it's nearing it's end ...it's like reviewing n revisiting the skeletons , which Obviously are not the " happy memories " types ...n yes IPKKND had the MAX issues arnd it , in fact if one talks abt the FAN POWER ...I think IPK would take the cake for the "positive " bid there ...

# geet was one of their first solo shows to have " hit a chord " way back in 2010 unfortunately when the PH had IPKKND n HHL running on the sister star network Channels, geet n star one , the then airing channel which was later on replaced with LOK was shut down in days ...star was flooded with mails, message and tweets but all feel on deaf ears ...n 2011 dec The show was shut down with the story being kept incomplete

# IPKKND in 2012 was an epic case in point ...there was a blame game WIth the lead actor n his " greener pastures" being used as a scape goat n the show was set to have a new lead ...n tht is when the fandoms had united to Keep the " eternal star crossed love story " intact n end The show with the leads ...n sure enough with in a week The show' was pulled off air , consequences be damned ..line up had suffered too ...

Pls note at this point the PH had another egg tht was hatched 😕

# QH ...had a similar upheaval with the lead actor quitting mid way ..n there was a lot of mud slinging ..however, The Channel did take a stand n kept it on air ..first WITN a new lead n second with a Leap 😆

N history repeats itself with HS ..but very early if we go by their standard..

My whole point in mentioning The above is to bring to ur notice tht biases can be fatal 😆

See HS is the only show I watch as of now ...n would love to see it " make it through " ...however the issue with all the above references is like one really can't single out whether it's the PH or The channel tht is at Fault or maybe both ...but it's like one of those zillion mysteries under The sky tht are defo too Hard to be " brushed aside " untill of course a "closure of sorts " is given 🥱...

Now with the new promos being aired n the PH landing up with " new projects " which would obviously need more team effort , going by their old standards ...it's tough to say wht will happen but yes ..making an effort to make urself heard definitely counts 👍🏼

PS AGN I don't know if u know this , but there are lots of "sources " arnd ...reach out to them if u can 😉

So what I think is with all the online support Humsafars is getting (and i really don't think i have ever seen anything like it for an Indian TV show to be honest), the channel is in a fix. They were probably intending to finish up with HS but if they do, the backlash is going to be unprecedented, especially since they are being accused (and quite rightly so) of showing partiality towards certain PHs. I am pretty sure in the background, there is some serious convo's going on behind closed doors. Four Lions is not some altu faltu prod house...it has massive massive hits like Geet and Qubool Hai under its belt. I am sure they are more than capable of turning a show around but the channel needs to support them. I think there will be one of two outcomes:

1) HS stays but the timing will change. BUT the PH needs a guarantee from the channel that they will promote the show.

2) The PH shifts the show onto another more accomodating channel. The issue with this option of course is that from a reputation perspective, this will look very very bad on SONY. It also ruins their relationship with Four Lions and other production houses will think twice before signing deals with Sony if there shows will be sidelined because of a special relationship with a certain PH.

SONY are in a unique situation with this show. Unlike Itti si kushi, poonam dhillons show etc is that they were able to shut them down without much issue from the fan base. But here, the actual fan base is enormous and heavily online. They need to be very very careful how they handle this. As an international viewer, why should I pay to watch SONY entertainment television if the shows i enjoy are removed because they aren't popular domestically? If they want to be a truly global channel, then they need to think globally as well. its terrible for their image to ignore the international audience.

In the meantime, i think the PH are doing everything in their power to ensure that they deliver on this serial, hence the increased involvement by seniors and changes to the team/responsibilities.

We are all not stupid to be supporting a TV serial which has nothing special about it. All of us genuinely have better things to do with our time. There has to be something about this serial which is bringing about such strong emotional responses from so many people who would generally never bother about such things (me being one of them)...it is a matter of principal.
