LOVELY di!! <3 I do like this open letter, maybe this is not a response, but an attempt to understand it and Sahir...
And I always love it when u decide to write about a character in particular 😃
Since I have time today, and am not drained from classes, I can write a bit more in detail about what we do care about: Sahir and Arzoo😆
I won't dignify Kurti's antics by talking about them anymore, really.
yeah KA can rest in peace with her vudoo magic ... 😆
Anyway,
I recalled previous scenes that created an internal space, a private shared space between Arzoo and Sahir; a space that was occupied by a distanced Sahir, into which he allowed Arzoo (eventually; since she wouldn't go away :P)
That space has been torn open due to the presence of Kurti and Alvira and others. It is that space, which is very fluid right now; under construction and tenuous. This is the reason anyone can eavesdrop on Sahir and Arzoo. Sahir needs to understand that living together in the same room is not enough till he lets Arzoo into his life, in every way.
He is too afraid, even now. It is only his pain that has been his own; it's the only thing he can call his own, in the truest sense.
AND it is the only thing that has allowed him to maintain that exterior.
Remember he used to think Love makes one weak.
His pain gives him strength.
It is the only thing he feels when he is alone and when he is with Arzoo, he feels like that pain is being pulled away from him. I think he is trying to get used to it, too. In small ways, like allowing her to dress him, smiling at her openly, admitting he's doing things to make her smile.
The Sahir of the present is changing, and opening up.
But the Sahir of the past, is pulling him away.
Remember, Sahir is not one. He has these different facets and he wants to protect Arzoo from the pain, even more so now that he knows she WILL feel his pain since he won't allow himself to.
Thats a wonderful take on Sahir's current actions 👍🏼 .. yes I remember once Aarzoo asked him who is the real Sahir because she feels there r many Sahirs hidden inside one Sahir .. I guess thats what we r seeing now... we hv one Sahir who is slowly trying to enjoy his newly married life with his wife by letting her enter his personal space and take over his life and then there is another Sahir who is still carrying the past baggage and dont want to open up as he feels it will further hurt Aarzoo ..
Aarzoo is trying to merge both Sahir and make him one who can come out of his past shadows and just live in present because only then their relation has a future .. But unless Sahir helps Aarzoo in this mission , she alone cannot achieve it ... Sahir will hv to open up to Aarzoo now and not just share his room with her but also his pain with her ...
He had said it is the pain he feels when she went away from him, heartbroken, that will be his identity.
NOT her love, NOT the love he feels for her, but HIS pain.
The word he's used in his descriptions of pain is "paala"
If he has nurtured this pain, it is because it gives him strength.
And that is battling with his love for Arzoo.
If he lets go, he'll lose a lot. And he can't afford to lose at the moment.
But the question is whether this pain really gives him strength or he just wants to believe that nurturing this pain will give him strength .. I feel Aarzoo's presense might slowly make him believe that her love is giving him the strength to fight all odds now whereas that pain of his past was only making him weak ..
I wish he would open up, and find out for himself that her love will give him the strength he needs.
Rishte dil se judte hain, but it's always his heart that gets broken, because no one else has loved him.
He has been Alvira's investment, not her son, whom she loves.
But he is Arzoo's love, and she trusts their bond.
Which is why she is trying again and again to get him to open up-- if not about Zeenat and him, then only about him.
Since that pain has been such a part of him, anything he shares WILL inevitably lead them back to Zeenat and Sahir.
I agree , noone ever loved him and he wants to b loved by someone ... he thought Zeenat was his love but she betrayed him in worst possible way I guess ... right now he assumes Alvira loves him like a son but soon this illusion of his will break too ... Mayb in his subconscious mind , he too knows that if anyone truely loves him right now , its Aarzoo since she is the only one who has been taking care of him abut the gun-shot incident .. no other family member including Alvira bothered to chk if he is fine or not ...
the way dard dard ko kheenchta hai,
dard shayad dard ko kaat bhi sakta hai
I am loving how Arzoo always reaches out to Sahir,
And their hugs indeed, are healing.
It is in that space that little by little, Sahir will heal.
yess I love their hugs .. they hv a story of its own ... he gets relief and peace in her arms and she gets pleasure in his arms 😳
Here's a positive about their relationship:
Sahir after getting Zak's call could have gone alone,
but he didn't.
He told her, and took her with him.
I found that to be very very nice, kind of like signalling that ladai zaroor hogi, but misunderstandings won't last long.
Thats a good observation .. yeah he takes her with him to meet Alvira .. its like he is slowly beginning to include Aarzoo in his day to day life ... 👍🏼
Rathode's statement about Sahir being Sravan Kumar is pretty bang on.
Agree 😆
Yeh inspector is very doubtful..kahin yeh Alvira se opposite camp mein toh nahi?
Sigh..Sahir suddenly meri ammi meri ammi kar raha hai :(
ACP is like Kurti apa only I feel .. harmless but useless too 😆 ... Sahir seems to almost worship Alvira because he feels indebted to her for getting his identity I guess 😕
Imagine this though- If zeenat 'wakes' up and actually tells KA that she really doesn't care about her, And KA realizes that Arzoo and Sahir ko support karna chahiye tha
that will b real googly episode then 😆
Also, I find it really silly I didn't pick up on it- Bakri toh halaal hoti hai na?
Poor Arzoo, KA toh pehle se hi bolti thi!
Agree
Arzoo is troubled..she can smile etc, with Sahir and for him, but both of them are not open with each other to that extent..so we still have that.
yup that silence still exists between both when it comes to Zeenat
To Arzoo's sketchbook conclusion-reaching:
Remember what Sahir said about seeing things and misunderstandings after the pool incident? :P
"Rishta sach pe tika hota hai"
But that trust goes both ways...And I feel, she needs to accept all the Sahirs in order for him to open up to her..
yeah .. sometimes what we see or assume may not b true ... I guess Aarzoo too is not drawing any final conclusion but just hving those initial fears of being a second wife .. she still believes Sahir does not love Zeenat anymore , reason why despite all the doubts , she still keeps asking him about his relation with Zeenat ...
Khair, this was just the stuff I was thinking as I saw those scenes today...
Sahir is not a closed book; his past is. His walls are crumbling v slowly and thank god Arzoo is both patient and stubborn...One can only hope that before the next attack on their lives, Sahir tells Arzoo something that puts her mind to rest.
As far as he's concerned, he considers himself responsible for 2 people who couldn't be more different from each other: Alvira and Arzoo.
I too hv hopes that post this valentine day episode , Sahir might finally open upto Aarzoo about his past .. I just want Aarzoo to find this truth from Sahir's mouth only and not anyone else because everyone will give her a twisted version of the truth .. so better she hears it from Sahir only
And the final face-off needs to be between these two.
Agree
Sahir needs to be rescued from his past methinks, and I think she will :D
Remember how our dreams and wishes set us free?
Well, this one is Sahir's, and she will heal him.
Till then, she is only half-real, and has only scattered portions of Sahir, who all have Arzoo in their hearts, but not as a reality.
These lines:
"Thaame hain guzre waqt ki baahein mujhe Sahir
Main aane wale waqt ko baahon mein kaise loon"
Wonderful lines 👏👏.. Sahir need to b freed from his past skeletons for him to embrace his beautiful present ...For SaAz to become humsafars in real , Sahir's past wounds need to b healed and I m sure Aarzoo will indeed heal all his wounds for sure
Love
