I think he is going out with half cooked plans because his focus is on setting the agenda...and have the republicans be on the defensive...I like his strategy...he tried the conciliatory approach after the 2010 midterms and was badly burnt...

Bujee...yes...heard about obamas visit to India...Lets see if there is anything solid coming out of this...recently my company transferred its IT operations to an Indian company...the business in India is booming with American clients...I have many Indian vendors who we give business to...

Doesn't hurt that USA has become the largest export market again ...crossing China...If Obama was a CEO of a company he will get plenty of credit for the financials and the economic indices...

I loved ur post , it was hilarious ...

From where I see it , the track with sahir , ARZOO n Zeenat playing up had been decided the day they showed Zeenat in the hospital n sahir visiting her ..cos betrayal or not , the fact remains tht Zeenat is still very much his Wife n NOW they are left with no option but to show her as a mean n conniving witch and do away with her somehow to " prove SaAz are justified "

Yes I m also not enjoying SaAz as much as I shud cos of Zeenat 's presence but can't help it if they have lost it 😭

Hi EC...HUGZ babe!

Lets see if Zeenat provides some insight to the past...or becomes a present day nuisance ...

Why is he not annulling his marriage with Zeenat I wanna know...He can provide for her care...by all means...I think he ought to that...but why is he KEEPING the marriage?

Sush I think sahir is keeping the marriage as of now cos 1) Zeenat is unwell , yes he' can pay for her care but he ain't 2) I think he needs to prove his promise of being one of the richest ppl or something
N Zeenat was in coma ..but now suddenly she is scaring ARZOO away which means she WANTS sahir now , maybe cos he is rich 😆

Hi Sush nice to see you are back 😊
I enjoyed reading your post and laughing at your gifs but I am going to disagree slightly on one point - basically am posting what I had written on VD's post. Apologies for being lazy and just copying and pasting.
I know a lot of fans are upset with the polygamy bit. It is not a part of my culture or upbringing in India. Now I live in the Middle East and this is a part of reality for many. I have begun to believe that as long as the parties involved are fine with it.. it is no one else's business. However if any one of them is getting hurt or this is being done against their will... then yes it is wrong and the law has to step in where needed. Anyway I digress...
In this story - neither Sahir, nor Arzoo and definitely not Zeenat, are ok with this set-up.
But this is the reality of his life. He married a woman who turned out to be wrong for him. He tried to avoid getting entangled with Arzoo but could not help getting pulled closer and closer to her... big time. At one point he loses all sense of right and wrong and this ends up with SaaZ nikaah. But I blame the CVs for the messy handling of the whole scenario and the shocking change in Sahir's characterization - and there is nothing one can do about it. Creative mistakes already aired... one cannot delete and re-write
But overall he has been shown as someone who tried to avoid polygamy up until above mentioned mess. Arzoo too did not escape this confusion - the whole business deal from her end was very unlike her. But anyways... the nikaah happened.
And it doesn't bother me... in this particular story the polygamy track doesn't bother me... because the first wife is his first wife on paper only. I for one don't believe in the legality of any relationship unless it is bound by feelings too. And the only feeling Sahir has for Zeenat is hatred... which I am sure she deserves. Zeenat is no pativrata woman who has been wronged. She is the one who has caused damage and done wrong - what exactly it is we still don't know. I agree it has to be revealed soon though... the CVs should stop stretching our patience on this one. Sure continue with the thriller track and Zeenat's shenanigans, but please reveal what went wrong between Sahir and Zeenat.
For me, Zeenat is not even remotely Sahir's wife except on paper. And therefore in my mind while legally it is polygamy, in my heart (like in Sahir's I think)... he only has one wife - Arzoo.
I hope I have not offended anyone with my views.

HI Junoonian, your point is very eloquently put forward! Thank you for sharing...

I write the following not to change your point of view but just express mine...on what does and does not work for me...

For me...the free will arguments work to the extent "free will" is really "free will" and not derived from lying, threatening and coercion. Saahirs actions to get Arzoo to agree to this marriage took that away for me. To that extent, I am of the opinion that even with the initial story and plot it could have been handled much better.

About Saahirs own position wrt his existing marriage with Zeenat...we still don't know what went wrong, and what his intentions are going forward. Does he want to get out this marriage? Why hasn't he annulled the marriage (he could still pay for treatment...if he is a good guy and accept responsibility of providing for all his wives...unlike Sarfaraz). It's hard to relate to Saahir with such important aspects missing from understanding...

Finally, at one point in history, everyone was OK with women not having the right to vote, there was no concept of equal rights...Yes, people at that time willingly accepted that and some even argued for it as the preferable arrangement...but I have a fundamental disagreement with that state of affairs...That is just my point of view...and I understand that in many places and cultures the view is not shared...However, I have related to Arzoo as one sharing my views...I hope, we don't lose her in this plot and quest to show romance here and now...all characters aside...

I do agree that the CVs can not shrug away the topic now...when they started with the plot...but I am put off by their handling of it...specially by leaving Saahir so dubious about so much...

Thanks Llin,😃
Glad you liked it...had the intention of keeping it funny...but the discussion got serious down the thread...😳

Anyway...about TRPs...my thoughts are...that the female lead and her actions are the most important ...an average woman in India MUST be able to relate to her actions. The society in India is getting fairly progressive on women's rights point of view...

The other aspect is that story must be enjoyable, have light moments with engaging plots...with other characters people can relate to and enjoy...

Romance is a part but not the whole answer...Haven't we seen shows that loaded up on romance and still fell flat on TRP?

Finally I believe people will write off a show completely...if there is something that they will rather not venture into...very few people will giving something a chance for intellectual or artistic curiosity...it is desi soap we are talking about and TRP making junta...not the same as my book club buddies...the interests and motivations ae different.

Ha ha ...as if drinking sharab was a sign of maturity...😛

Anyway...forget about the baby analogy..Jay, .emotionally weak, transgressors...yes
What can I say...it is easier to be a man in some parts of the world...in desi soaps at least...you can away with a lot! Don't expect anything like this in real life...😉
