I like the way things are shaping up in the show, having said i too believe sahir"s character has been compromised during the nikkah scenario.
I would say yes cvs are trying their best to bring the positivity back in sahir's character and reading the spolier a big yes from me to a certain point where sahir is ready to sacrifice his life for arzoo shows a lot.
when i heard the dialogue of sahir to arzoo regarding zeenat presence in his life and being a part of his past does makes sense to me esp when i read jyoti post where she explains that sahir might be tricking zeenat .
polygamy is taken differently in different cultures but its there.we need to understand the concept.
sush your threesome point about arzoo, sahir and zeenat did hit me too but you know what, past is connected to zeenat and her presence will not only open up past but will decide zeenat's future fate so her presence is required because remember sahir has been waiting for her to recover from coma for the past 7 years.
Do i make any sense.let me know😆

Hi Aidan,

I don't buy that Saahir is playing a game right now...if that was true the director should convey that not Jyoti's or anybody's post...

I wish Saahir treated Zeenat as his past...and not as the present reality...! The CVs are still not giving up on milking two wives fighting for one husband plot...I think they believe this will be a winner with TRP junta...time will tell...

that was a good post Sush, and yes they put a stop to self hurt.
I think they r trying hard to get back into some sanity after last few weeks of whatever.

I know I am minority or may be the only one but one shouhar and two biwi with one in coma in the cultural background of Indian subcontinents Islamic background ...not bothering me..I guess I have compartmentalised it 😊

I think the makers r trying to show that it's happening in the community and off course the liberal educated Indian girls r not able to connect ...(maybe reason for low trp ) with it but it is a reality present in the community.

I think we all have our peeves...there was a show Beintaha same time as RR...again Muslim background and they showed the leads as first cousins...that I couldn't take ...(btw the older brother of the lead had two wives and kids from both and they all lived in same big mansion) that show had better run and Trp then my RR...figure that out

I beleive cousin marriage is prelevant in some southern Hindu communities as well. Irrespective of religious or cultural sanctity medical reasons r just enough, it bothered me greatly as I feel my cousins are my brothers and sisters

I feel when majority irrespective of religious or cultural identities start feeling strongly..we get change..so much repulsion to polygamy may bring in change in Indian laws though our politics has always been appeasement one. Just as a fact polygamy is banned in Turkey though it is more than 90% Islamic ...

Now back to the episode..I liked the fact they r trying to build the connection between Sahir and arzoo and how Arzoo can puff and blow ...as soon Sahir is hurt ...her heart is in her mouth the true feelings can not be hidden at the time of life and death

And Hair is back still not the way I like it ...the initial ones but I can handle this😃...raabta with HC Is back...so vain...I know

Love...no desire to offend anybody just expressing my thoughts❤️

I used to think this is not 4 lions style to show this kind of stuff...but I was mistaken...

Sush ,

From day one my complain has been screenplay , direction ...lacks ...I agree with what Jay said how much weight do we give one dialogue ...Saahir stated the facts ...No matter how you slice the cake ...Zeenat is part of his life till he decides otherwise ...The subject is bold /sensitive ... mammoth task to lure the audience ...the CV's so far have done poor job with the characterization of all characters . ...Why do you think they are not getting the TRP's ?
I don't want to compare shows from other countries on the forum ...I have watched many shows from many countries east / west .

Hello Sush Di! lovely post won't take much of your time will just tell is that I am hardly thinking about logic anymore. LOL even the actors themselves are confused not their fault since low trps and Channel pressure ruin everything. Look how they scrapped off the deal without giving any justifying explanations. Oh well.
Now the religion thing. I am a Muslim myself and I tend to avoid Muslim based shows in India since they mostly fuel stereotypes about our religion. I am glad one thing they haven't shown in Humsafars is the cousin marriage thingy. No its not common anymore at least not part of my country. I gave up watching Qubool hai for this.

Another annoying aspect is the spoiler video where Arzoo apparently prays for Sahir's wellbeing. It was really offending honestly. No offense its just that when was the last time you felt this was a muslim show apart from the polygamy shit?

There is a reason Polygamy is allowed in Islam not definitely for the enjoyment of the man! It is disgusting to see such a concept. And honestly we are rooting for SaAz that is why normally want Zeenat to be proved evil but imagine would you really sympathize for a man who hates his comatose wife just because she mocked his business ethics? Really it just sounds immature.

Like I haven't seen anyone ANYONE pray namaz everrr. At least the mothers to wear a hijab? Ok ignore that too. Arzoo prays without a dupatta or even a veil covering her head - ok.

And no woman with Arzoo's past will accept Zeenat so easily. Its obvious the CVs are trying to whitewash Sahir by bringing Zeenat now. Hmm. Too late should have done it earlier. 😕

Anyway I like the thriller aspect especially the cop and the KA convos. Funny and a delight to the entire episodes also of course no matter how much I cringe I like SaAz moments. Hope I made my points clear hehe😆

The way she was about pick up her stuff and leave at Kurti Appa's orders was quite distastful. Instead of feeling insecure she should feel wronged as it was Saahir who brought into this position of regression where she like a doormat has to accept the fact that he has another wife. I can see her starting to think about his pain after he had taken the bullet for her. But right now WOMEN look what you have become.

I agree Red, the sympathy towards Saahir...the desire to understand him would have made so much more sense AFTER the bullet scene...

Thanks for your response @ feminist! I don't claim to know Muslim culture inside and out...but have had many friends over the course of time, who are Muslim...some we have had close family friendships with...polygamy is not something they practice...or even think of practicing...

You are also right about the Muslim backdrop of the show...and how much justification it does to the culture...well not much...although I do like the dialogue delivery...the diction...which I think is pretty good for most characters...

I don't care for the spooky track...with Zeenat as the witch..my mom in India said...she has stopped watching HS since the Bhutiha (ghostly) track started... .but I do think that Rathod guy.. is funny!

You may be right...Shweta...that would be something fixable if it is the direction...
They are losing the connection of the characters with the audience...and the last straw is still to come when they will show Zaki was the one conspiring with KA and Zeenat to make Aarzoo free of this marriage...that's what it is all about...but any way...he is a side character...Saahir and Arzoo should make sense aloud be likable...

Hi Madhu...there is nothing offensive about people freely expressing their choices and thoughts...so you don't have to have a disclaimer...😃

Never saw Beintaha ...was this elder brother a lead? I think pushing this as a main story in a hero...is just too much...
