totally agree with you... i feel it is the guilt that is reflected here... especially the mention of casting his eyes down..regret... and the wish to keep her away from harm which he thinks is caused by his mistakes ( when you consider his pleading his his mom that he shud be the one who deserves punishment not her)
yet the spoiler is confusing... may be something happens that makes it imperative that they shud be together... anyways the dual personality of Sahir , the ruthless businessman Vs the romantic poet are always at clash
