Arzoo is not so wrong, we just are more used to Sahir's arrogance

"Kam se kam ab apni safai mein kuch to bolo"??😕..these were Sahir' s words.

I liked today's Saaz interaction because this is one girl who does not bend and shed tears and go on " bechari" mode because the man she loves is questioning her.
We all, including me are very used to tolerate Sahir's arrogance...we have time and again seen him asking her to " Get Out ", " leave the room" , " go away", pushing her aside so many times.
And telling her to stay in her place in her "hadd"
But all that we accept because " oh Sahir is so tormented by his past".

Today, Arzoo actually remained quiet patient, even when Sahir asked her to "Get out" of the room as if she had gone there for him. She very well knew meeting him right then was not a good idea...she didnt say a thing to Alvira about how Sahir has pushed and scared her before.

Then, Sahir questioned her. He asked for truth. And while doing so, he touched her, held her, as if he had a right. Tell me something. IF a man thinks a woman is pregnant from another man, would her touch her and hold her? No. Something in his gestures talks about how he already feels she belongs to him. But he does not admit.That.
What a punch line was that..." dil ki baat zubaan par aani chahiye". Because Mr Sahir never has admitted till now that she affects him, that he cares. But he wants to know. If he wants to know as being a brother, his questioning should be to Zaki, not Arzoo.
But he felt okay to question Arzoo...

True...he still trusts her and is asking why she kept quiet instead of fighting. But Arzoo's problem is this...he was the only man in her whole life who had once stood up for her character..and he is now questioning her decision. She trusts him blindly, and she wants the same. That is whats killing her. She is putting her honour at stake for him, for his deal and honour. And the same man is asking her why she kept quiet..what can she say...she is keeping quiet for him and his deal?
And then he says the thing that he should never have.
AANKON MEIN FAREB. There she is done. If he thinks he is seeing lies in her eyes...she does not want to correct him. He can think any rubbish he wants.!!!

Sahir did not come to Arzoo to find out reality from her. She came to his room, and tells her to get out. She remains patient and answers nicely that she came to give the packet. He starts talking..she doesn't still get where it is going. And then...why did you keep quiet.

People will ask she was nice to ALvira , why not to Sahir..simple because Sahir is a man..the man she loves , and he is questioning on a matter of her character. She works in his office in front of him, and spends her morning and evening serving him his coffee, burnt toast and dinner.
She has opened up to him about her bitter life. And she expected better out of Sahir than to question her like this. First of all..who is he to give a judgement??

Let me give you a small example. A husband asks his wife, i heard that you slept with another man , tell me if its true or not. What should the wife say...does she need to prove her purity to her husband?Does she give explanations as to why he heard that...and then let him be a judge of her character? Will she not expect that her husband of all people would trust her immensely and blindly? Arzoo and Sahir have already given that space to each other , though they are not married, and working through the feelings.
Thats why..Arzoo tell him..that of all the people I expected you to understand. And you are also questioning me like everyone else. And if he feels her eyes can lie, she can lie and needs to know things from her mouth..then really there is no need of his judge ment there. After a girl vindicates her self...she doesn't need a Sahir after that. !!!

Dont get me wrong, I absolutely love Sahir's character . But Sahir had always been arrogant and self absorbed many many times..and expects people around him to understand. Today it is Arzoo's turn. Why cannot she have any expectations from Sahir? Why should their relationship be one sided? He orders, expects, wants, huffs and puffs when he doesnt get attention and answers from her. But she cannot expect anything?

Why did Sahir not question his brother about the pregnancy instead of hounding the poor girl?
And he is not able to understand ..because he doesn't know about Samaira. Apparently Samaira has been coming and going to Niyamat house every summer. And everyone knows Samaira is Rehman's daughter. Does Sahir not find it odd that Samaira is there in the house and suddenly all this has come up?

I found it so so odd that all in the house were picking on Arzoo and no one was asking Zaki. Arre ask your own brother and son first. !!

Sahir has his flaws too, we are more easy on him, because we expect girls to be more scared and modest than what Arzoo is doing. We expect girls to be scared out of their wits when their character is questioned, and go all over explaining themselves. In this case..Arzoo has taken a stand...she will answer those who show trust on her. Thats what Alvira did. And so Arzoo talked to her about it . And instead Sahir did not say that he trusts her and he knows she will do no wrong. He rather talking about chehra and wanting to hear from her mouth and fareb in the eyes. He went the wrong way in dealing with the woman he is so attached to. I know..many are going to explain his fears from his previous relationship. Frankly that is his problem, how is Arzoo supposed to know about it!

Arzoo had a good question for him..who is he to her, and why is he feeling to bad when she means nothing to him? He wants rights..he needs to give them to her . Period. Like I forgave Sahir for his rude and arrogant behaviour with Arzoo many a time, I forgive Arzoo today for not bending to Sahir today. Remember that just before all this happened, Sahir shoves Arzoo and scares her with his nakab and chehra talk...though its two episodes for us, it is one evening for them!

I loved the precap, Sahir is going to put 2 and 2 together for himself. Thats what we expect a brainy guy to do. Sahir will figure things out for himself...

Even Mata Sita refused to Come back to Ram and Ayodhya after he leaves her in the forest based on what his countrymen say about her chastity..( regarding her one year stay at Lanka). Love, is different. Dignity is different. Two different things here.

As I mentioned...Apni Safai mein kuch to bolo is the thing that he says. And her question..why should I give any safai to you , who are you...? is not at all wrong.

I agree with yuor points especially about why noone is asking Zaki 😆 .. true we r still in this male dominated society where everyone will pick up on the girl .. question her .. but will let the guy go scotfree

Coming to Aarzoo , yes few of her reactions made sense ... Sahir himself said farak nahin padhta .. so then what right he has to grab her hands and question her about it ... no wonder she lost her cool and reminded him about what he himself said one day back 😆

It was all good upto that point and I was team Aarzoo too .. but the moment she contradicted her above statement and asked him to read her eyes , I was like heinnn 😕 ... On one had she says hum aapke hai kaun and on other hand she expects him to read her eyes ... there was this contradiction in her words which looked weird ...

but again this just shows she is a girl in love who is extremely hurt with her man's actions .. Sahir too is similar in nature .. he says to stay in her limits but himself forgets his limits and expects Aarzoo to tell him everything ... similarly Aarzoo too tells Sahir he has no right on her yet expects him to read her eyes 😆😳

Thanks Tannu, I watched the episode and I actually wondered how she had courage to go back to his room after he manhandled her earlier in the evening. She is brave, patient and calm in composure when he went...she didn't even talk about that incident with Alvira or him.

From the updates on the forum I thought Sahir went to Arzoo to talk with her...he didnt!!

The right approach for him to take would be to go to her, keep distance but tell her he knows she cannot do anything wrong, and there must be some reason for what she is doing. That would have opened her up a little.
Secondly...she knows and we know she is doing this for Sahir and she loves him. She cannot say that to him though...and it must be so hard for her that he is talking about fareb in the eyes etc.

Hopefully this track will have Sahir admitting that he cares, farak padtha hai...and she admitted that she very much cares for his pain.

Me to think arzoo wanted sahir to taste his own medicine when ur in love u expect ur loved one to trust u arzoo is right in saying but unaware of sahir has no trust issues he just wants from ur mouth the truth the whole truth .
Both are similar in a way they don't like or Allow others to insult but within them they behave as if they own them so snapping starts off .
Both same temper same painful life mind set same they are perfect humsafars

True Jyoti, you make a valid point. 😊
Absolutely true about the male dominated society. Kurti apa never questions Zaki or Sahir about why he wants Arzoo around him all the time. But..question Arzoo is what they all do.

You are right about Arzoo contradicting herself.. here is how I understand it ...see , she never said that he doesnt mean anything to her. She infact had been thinking he was going to say the three golden words.. when he came to say sorry..she was there mentally. And she asked Sahir very nicely about his dard. He closed up, told her to stay in her place. That hurt her..a lot. I mean Sahir takes the liberty to call her father and ask him to stay away from her...who is he ? her guardian angel? and if he is guardian angel then why should he question her?
Somewhere , the angle of rich and poor, who is staying in whose house and who is doing ehsaan on whom is playing here.
Arzoo in fact is giving it away..she is telling she cares about him and his dard which is why she asked him about it...then even after they fight and declare they don't mean anything to each other, she goes and asks Alvira about Sahir's past...I mean that is serious stuff. A girl goes to a guy's mom and asks about his problems, to me that tells both the viewer and Alvira that she is serious about Sahir.
She wanted him to understand the truth and innocence of her eyes and not need a verbal justification because she loves the man. Simple.
But yes she did question him about his rights because he behaves like her husband without admitting any feelings.
Lets say Arzoo explains her innocence and Sahir passes his " judgement" on her character that she is pure. Then what? Thats the thing that bothering her...he comes and goes out of her personal life at HIS WILL. And she is fighting against that.

CVs really need to do something about the screen play! Its just not natural for a girl to continuing going into a man's room after she has been shoved and heard things like Biwi Shauhar relations. At least show a little bit of hesitation or discomfort on Arzoo's end so it looks more realistic. Or tell Alvira or son does not like it keeps sunaoing me whenever I walk into a male's room so do the other people in the house so I am really not comfortable with it anymore. I hope she does this after the pregnancy fiasco is over.

Bulls eye Redvoilet. I wondered how she kept going there without any fear...I think the reason is she already trusts him at an emotional and subconscious level. That is the only reason I can come up with. She knows he won't harm her.
He keeps telling her to stay away, she is more intrigued. He spent a night with her in that forest and saved her from goons to safety..and there has been a journey in their relationship.
But evening pushing scene was too much on her...and that should have kept her out of his room.

I think Alvira sent her purposefully so that Sahir gets a chance to talk to her. And I do think with the way she replied back today, Sahir knows for sure she is not pregnant and there is a lot going on.

Fabulous post. You're right that we always talk about Sahir's bitter past and forgive whatever he does but now when Aarzoo is giving her the taste of his own medicine we don't like it.I guess it's believed that a girl has to be a healer and a more considerate person and let the man decide. But this is Aarzoo, not some ordinary girl and I'm loving it.
