This is my take on what happens when Alvira's meddling finds Arzoo behind the wheel of Sahir's car. This write up is just the incident specific. I saw the car falling in the ditch epi today and thought of a different take than the usual ghisa pita, for a change.
It was a sunny morning with moderate traffic on Mumbai's roads. Arzoo was enjoying the chance to drive the car. It was a while since she had driven Ro's car in Lakhnow. She glanced in the rear view mirror to see Sahir busy talking on the cellphone conducting his business. Arzoo's thoughts went towards Alvira aunty's generosity towards her family and she thanked god that she was getting a chance to rebuild her family's life after they lost shelter in Lakhnow. She was mentally going over her mother's illness and medicines she needed when there was a loud noise and she realized that car tire probably had gone flat. She immediately moved the car to the side of the road and stopped. Sahir immediately looked up questioning her aankhon se ki kya hua. She got down, inspected the right rear wheel which had the flat tire. She informed him of the situation. They were on the highway. Sahir called the tow truck from the backseat of the car and resumed his call. Arzoo was just looking around standing outside stretching her legs.
A quarter of an hour passed and a car stopped by them. A man about thirty got down and asked Aarzoo what was the problem. She informed about the flat and that tow truck being on the way. The man peered into the car and saw Sahir talking on his gold iPhone. The man smiled slyly and threw an appreciative glance at Sahir whistling slowly. All of a sudden he found his view of Sahir being blocked by Arzoo who stood in front of the backseat and asked the man politely to leave. At the same time Sahir knocked from the inside gesturing to her to open the car. Arzoo looked back,shook her head negatively and again asked the man to please leave. The man instead started talking vulgar things about Sahir, indicating he would be happy to provide company to Sahir inside the car while they wait for tow truck to come. Arzoo shook her head firmly and informed the man that it is in his good health to turn around and leave. The man looked at her, laughed in her face and touched her shoulder in the gesture to push her away from the car. Within an instant, he found himself horizontal to the ground, his face pushed in the ground, his hand twisted behind his back and Arzoo's foot on his back. He heard Arzoo whispering near his ear to choose between leaving that place or be hogtied to his own car for the rest of the day. Sahir who was watching this from inside the car was speechless at the scene unfolding outside. He was so shocked that he forgot his aversion to opening the door and he got himself out of the car. Arzoo immediately turned back and requested him to get back in the car while she dealt with this scum.
The man begged Arzoo to let go. Aarzoo released him with one final warning and he ran towards his car murmuring crazy b**ch and left the place in a hurry. Aarzoo smiled to herself and turned back to see an angry Sahir looking back at her. "What the hell were you thinking tackling him all by yourself?" He practically snarled at her. Aarzoo's smile vanished and she felt her own temper rising. "Sir, he was saying vulgar things about you and wanted to get inside the car to be with you. I could not let that happen". "So you decided to take things in your own hands"? "Sir don't worry, I have a black belt in Tai chi. I can take 2 of them easily.." Aarzoo said matter-of-factly. Sahir was so apoplectic that he could not say a single word. It did not occur to him to thank her for saving his izzat😆. Arzoo opened the car door so he can get back in the car. Sahir just pushed it closed with his foot with a loud bang. Arzoo did not understand why he was angry. She said "Sir, I could not let him get to you. I was just trying to protect you. Granted he tried to muscle his way in and I reacted to it. In today's day and age, it is important for any man, woman or child to know some minimum self defense techniques". Sahir found this whole thing so bizarre that he actually started laughing. Arzoo did not know what to make of it. Sir was angry at one instant and laughing at the other. She secretly thought Sir looked better laughing and she realized she had never seen him laughing with such abandon before. The tow truck soon stopped near their car and shortly they were on the road to Panchgani.
