Sahir and Arzoo - The Story So Far

He gets back and feels so guilty that he belts himself remorselessly. Why we all ask?? So we find out through the week that he has a wife who is in a coma, who he doesn't love any more for a reason that has yet to be explicitly shown, however through the hints, it's related to his wife mocking his abilities to be super rich and likely never really loved him anyway. So he has devoted the last 7 years to prove a point to her. In doing all of this he has ended up being lonely, heartbroken and tired of life. The arrival of Arzoo in his life has set off a toofan in his heart. This is actually the girl of his dreams. She doesn't care about money or status. She is honest and hard working. He admires her drive and ambition in the face of so many responsibilities. And she is full of compassion for her fellow human beings. And he is hopelessly, totally, head over heels in love with her.

Arzoo -
So for Arzoo, the jungle was the start of it all. She became completely aware that Sahir Sir is seriously attracted to her but she also sees that he is fighting it (axe scene + usual dialogue on leaving him alone).
They come back and he goes all bi-polar on her. I was initially annoyed with Arzoo for being so weak in front of him an just taking all those insults and pushing around, but after yesterday's episode I realised that this girl is smarter than I had given her credit for. She was initially, thoroughly confused and fair enough. In the last week he has held her protectively, hugged her passionately, came to her when she was crying but then was constantly shouting at her and telling her to leave him alone!
But after seeing the marks on his back, our lady from Lucknow put her thinking hat on. She realises these marks are self-inflicted. In fact, she even concludes initially that she doesn't want to get tangled in this mess and would be best for her to go. So she realises that he is attracted to her but it's messing with his head.
But then she sees the poor guy trying to put the ointment on, full back covered in marks and her heart goes out to this lonely soul. And this is when she chooses to put her foot down with him. It's not as if she couldn't have before, but I think she was genuinely bewildered with his behaviour and couldn't make sense of it. Sahir, doesn't even put up a fight. That's how much power this gal actually wields over him (and she knows it, as does he). Her words to him were great as well. She tells him, why all the fuss, I'm putting ointment on, not poison. She also communicates and she isn't interested in finding out how this happened. This is a powerful message she is sending him. She's really telling him, let me come close and help you heal your wounds. In return, I ask for nothing and no explanations. She is quite literally offering to be his 'humsafar', a stranger who he gets comfort, solace and friendship from on this rocky journey of his. And she is ready to end the journey with a wave good-bye. Once again Arzoo shows what a compassionate soul she is. She also loves him and can see he loves her too but also sees the conflict it is creating within him. She initially thought of walking away but realised this will leave him so alone that she couldn't do it. Instead she will be his friend and help him through this...somehow...

The highlight this week for me was the 'dream chat' between Sahir and Arzoo. This is a great way for us to see what's going on in Sahir's head. (It also lets us enjoy the romantic chemistry between the lead pair!) . I would love to see more such dream scenes with Arzoo popping up everywhere to have a quick deep, meaningful conversation with Sahir and giving us some view into his mind. In the car, office, bedroom...wherever! :-)

What I would love to see next, is for Arzoo to take control of the situation. At home, seems they will be showing her try and change his habits. I also would like to see her focusing on her job too. She needs to become a successful designer and buy a house by next year! So She needs to lay the law in the office with him as well. I'd love too see her come in, totally focus on her work and be extremely professional with him. It will freak him out of course, but it will be a pleasure to watch! In fact, let's bring back Zaki, who should now want to help his bhai seriously in the business and he works with Arzoo on a collection which is hugely successful. There will be so much scope for interaction, jealousy, admiration between the lead pair! :-)...him wishing it was him joking around with Arzoo and not Zaki!

Zeenat needs to continue sleeping for a while whilst Arzoo works on building a friendship with Sahir. I'd like to see them get to a point where he accepts his feelings and doesn't feel the need to lash out at Arzoo and infact, enjoy her company instead. There will of course be heartache from both sides and a few awkward moments but even in really life, it can be years before someone is brave enough to confess their real feelings so I gave no issues with them having a friendship (but actually love) kind of relationship.

Arzoo will need to find out of course at some point about Zeenat. Be it through seeing him at the hospital, Alvira or even Sahir spilling the beans. It will be interesting to see how she handles this...but i think this can wait...plenty can happen before we need to get to that point...

Agree on the dream chat- it showed exactly where SAhir stands now.👏

He has absolutely no guilt related to his wife...all he fears is that she would make him hope, trust...and if something were to happen, he wouldn't be able to handle himself...that is the power he acknowledges she wields over him...

Wonderful post, again...👏 Future trax: It is always better to watch a soap with min expectations..😳it is going to be a long ride..but I guess/ hope they cover all the points U mentioned, some point of time..😊

Would love to see Arzoo take charge at home and the office. His bipolar attitude and self flagellation was certainly bewildering for her but she hasn't given up.
