Episode 3- Update by Pranx
(Please excuse me if I've missed some things in between. This episode was telecast during my exams so I don't remember much of it)
Shelly walks to the lobby very irritated and asks one of the staff members why there is no car to take her to the hospital. Apparently, all the cars were either assigned to the guests or had gone for servicing. Shelly gets even more irritated.
Meanwhile, we see Vish enjoying coffee with a female friend (I forgot her name…lets just call her K). He sees the commotion created by Shelly and offers to drop her to the hospital.
She looks at Vish and then at K and then says that I'll be disturbing you (First arrow of cupid strikes! It's as if she can't believe that Vish can have a girlfriend. And it makes her go green with envy! Open your eyes girl! Every girl worth her lipstick and mascara is gunning for Vish and here you are- unable to see beyond your French poodle!) Vish says that it won't be a problem since he has to drop K too and the hospital is on the way. (He really knows how to prick her bubble of ego, doesn't he?)
Later we see Vish in his car, Shelly in the next seat and K in the rear seat. He introduces K to Shelly. Shelly is very cold in her reply (Hah! You are becoming greener Shelly!) Vish then says that K had done the bookings for Shelly and Nick's Goa trip. Shelly tries to be warm in her thanks but fails miserably. Finally k's place arrives and she gets down. She shakes Vish's hand and bids him an extra friendly good-bye. (By now even Vish could've smelled that something was burning! Shelly was that jealous!) Later on the way to the hospital, Shelly tries to find out more about K. She tells Vish that your friend is very good (I don't think Vish ever asked for her approval) and asks if they are 'very' good friends. We know each other for a very long time is his enigmatic reply. Just then they arrive at the hospital. Shelly thanks Vish and gets off. Just as she's about to enter the hospital, she sees Devyani coming out. From his car Vish sees the cold air blowing between the 2 ladies in Govind Sahai's life. He just drives off.
The episode then wastes 15 mins on Shelly and her dad and than Shelly and Nick. I won't go into the details since it revolves around a photo album of Shelly when she was a kid. Shelly tells Nick that she can't leave dad in his current condition and go back to US. She is going to represent her dad at the board meeting and she needs to prepare a presentation. Nick asks her if she has any idea what she's getting herself into. Nick is already cranky because shelly refuses to stay with him in one room and on top of it her dad does not like him.
Next day, Shelly and Nick are in the restaurant impatiently waiting for their food. Shelly sees that K has already got her food and her anger boils over. She starts screaming at the staff-in-charge saying that they have been waiting for an hr. for their food while others get preferential treatment. The reality was that both of them had ordered exotic dishes which required time to prepare while K had ordered the regular dishes,but Shelly was in no mood to listen. Vish defends the staff-in-charge. K gets angry and storms off. Just then the waiter appears with their food, but Nick who's gesturing wildly accidently strikes the tray and the food, in slow motion falls all over Shelly. It's a hilarious scene! Shelly icily tells Vish that he'll have to pay for this. Everyone gets worried but Vish remains unperturbed.
A wedding party who had booked the hotel for their daughter's wedding. They are the loud Punjabi type (sorry mani) and Shelly's having a tough time managing them. Our dear, smart Vish expertly handles the situation and even introduces the bride's parents to Shelly. The bride's mom immediately tells vish that she does not want Shelly to be around at the time of her daughter's marriage. She says her daughter will be overshadowed by Shelly's beauty, but Vish says that Shelly is nothing in front of her daughter and that she's getting unduly worried (Amazing Vish!)
Later we see the HK staff gathered in Govind Sahai's hospital room. It's his birthday and they have got a birthday cake for him. They all sing happy birthday to you. Just then, Shelly comes by with a bouquet in her hand, looks at the celebration going on, and then in her 'I'm-more-important-than-you' way just hijacks the party. Nobody likes it but they can't say anything. Govind tells Vish to cut the cake and distribute among the HK employees. In the kitchen, Vish tells Sujit to cut a bigger piece for him. Priyesh comes to the kitchen saying that there is commotion in the lobby and shelly's looking for him.
Meanwhile Nick is getting drunk at the bar. Shelly has to drag him away from there. In his drunkenness, Nick tells everyone that the drink's on the house. She drags him outside towards the pool where Vish and the bride's mom are overseeing the decorations. Vish comments about Nick's condition and Shelly hears it. They have a staring match.
The next day we see Nick sleeping in his room when he is woken up by the sound of a band playing really loud music. Both he and Shelly come down to the lobby where they see the lobby being decorated with flowers and a really loud band playing music. Shelly asks Vish who was overseeing the decorations, what was going on. He tells her that it's for the wedding and she can't do anything about it. Nick gets all the more infuriated and prepares to leave the hotel. Shelly follows him to his room saying that he can't let Vish unsettle him. Just then Vish arrives with the bill for the bar where Nick had announced free drinks to all. Shelly signs the bill. Vish is about to leave when he sees the hotel food dumped into a plate by Nick and he comments that we may not be cultured like you but at least we know to respect our food and leaves. Nick gets mad and slams the door.
