We have witnessed how actors when they get international fame and recognition, their accent tends to change almost overnight. Its strange how a persons way of speaking changes so quickly.

Some develop the International accent, some merely fake it. But one actress has decided not let global fame destroy her neutral accent. She is non other than the even smiling Deepika Padukone.

If you have watched the trailer of Deepika's Hollywood film, xXx: Return of Xander Cage, you will realize she has maintained her natural accent and hasn't anglicized her way of speaking, just because its a Hollywood flick. Way to go girl!

While this might be a PR article, thats what most people on Twitter are saying k she did not adopt a fake accent for the movie, which in my opinion is impressive

It's more like she couldn't manage to get an English. If it's part of the movie they shouldn't churn out articles to prove a point.

If her character in the movie originates from India, then her thick Indian accent is understable and there is no point of such PR articles. Shows a lot.

But if she is not, I don't think it's impressive - not adopting the accent. You have to somehow try to fit in. Just how the firangi heroines get a backlash here.

PC's accent is now tolerable. Seems less fake now.

Maybe.. Ab andr ki kahaani tou mujhe nahi pata.. I will only comment on what is coming across and at the moment it is k she stuck to her accent.. Whatever the reason is😆

DP's PR carrying out preemptive strike before the impending criticisms come her way regarding her accent .. 😆

Couldn't care less about the article .. the pic though .. they should have posted the full pic .. coz it looks like a tight suit & the best part is missing from the pic .. ☺️
