Actress NICOLE KIDMAN is the latest recipient of her native country's highest civilian honor -- a Companion in the General Division of the Order of Australia -- for her services to the performing arts and contributions to health care. What's more, the Oscar winner is set to be named a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador on Thursday and will work with the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) to help advance women's rights around the world, which she says is "just the beginning of what I hope will be decades and decades of a commitment to the UN."

Meanwhile, when asked about her romance with fellow Aussie, singer KEITH URBAN, Nicole simply blushed. "One day at a time," said Nicole regarding engagement rumors. "When the time's right, you talk about those things."
