From Indira's slaps to Rishi's slap,"HD" has become a symbolic show for encouraging abuse,whether that be psychological abuse,domestic abuse,or child abuse.First,it started with the protagonist of the story with her verbal and physical abuse,and has been continuing with the trend since with the male lead abusing his authority as being a husband.
When I started watching the show,I thought that through Indira's character sketch,the writer was trying to mirror the real-life situation,where a young woman,who had been abandoned by her father and who had taken up the responsibility of the entire family,has turned out to be rude,misbehaved and cold.But what has been shown throughout,i.e.,Indira slapping Rishi,her husband,very often;sometimes Inder Sharma slapping Kutum;or Malik Khan slapping Zara[again domestic abuse];or that be Zara slapping Rishi,all these shows that the creator is not representing real life,but supporting all kinds of abuse.Besides,there has been child abuse too by the CVs,who are spreading a wrong message that,a child of eight years of age,can verbally abuse her elders;that,there is nothing wrong for a child to pose suicidal threats to her parent.Its really disappointing that,in the name of entertaining us,Illa Bedi is endorsing the concept of abuse.We as audience should take up some action to stop this kind of negative influence of any show on us.In writing about this,I've taken up one step towards it,share your views.
