Was today a filler epi? Donno. Was there movement in the story? See, there was plenty of movement...the rooster, Lahorewali, Indu, PCO owner...all moved. A LOT. But did the story move? Donno.

Lahorewali heard Rishi's voice and responded to his name and voice. If she really is Indira, then I really don't know what the point of Zara's character is. If it is merely to create confusion, then it has worked. If it is to present us with another martyr when the true Indira comes to the fore, then again, this is working. At the end of all this, when the time comes, I hope the writers know which of these to present as the real Indira.

In some scenes today, I must admit, Indu was not as irritating as she could be. There were some scenes in which her expressions conveyed the joy of being with someone she loved totally. But what was all that filing away at the iron bars in the window?? She did it in ten minutes flat! And she sawed off most of the bars! In just the amount of time it took Kutumb to get up the stairs. And of course, once again, she did what no one could do. She caught the rooster and gifted it to her Mummy 😃

Cut to Mumbai where Vanraj has recovered speedily. He is physically and mentally fit and is also a witness at the impromptu wedding of Rishi and Zara. The registrar of marriages was waiting for this couple to walk in and marry. Ordinary folks need to wait for months. But that's okay. Its called 'creative license'.

About Vanraj, suddenly, today his expressions and tone of voice as he was talking to Indu seemed as though he is upto something. Either this guy is just a bad actor or there is some other banal twist that these writers are going to throw at us.

To sum up:

1. Munna feels a connection with the intruder Indira.

2. Intruder Indira has a connection ONLY with Rishi (and a rooster).

3. Rishi has forged a connection with Zara.

4. Kutumb and other jeev-jantus of SN are connected to money (no matter whose it is)

Only I have lost every connect with the story. But does that matter?

lol i have already told in my post that pakwali recognises only rishi how is this possible..from 2 days she behaved like SF are strangers..if she is really indira then how come she didn't recognise them..par rishi ki baat suntehi kush hogayi aur uska pehla word 'Rishi' tha..she was so eagerly waiting to speak to him over fone.

OMG ... Kanan ... you made a post on today's epi . You are Fantastic as always ... but this Show does not deserve you . Whole heartedly agree with you ... Have lost connect with the show completely ... am least bothered about who is Indira or Zara ... they can all be dumped into the Arabian Sea ... for all i care . 😡 just watching as a matter of habit . Thanks for a Lovely post again . 😊

Thanks for yet another entertaining post. But you forgot to mention the best part of the show. The heart-wrenching "meri maa" as Indu lovingly takes care of the mental LW. God it made me cry and my heart pain...NOT! You know that the show has surpassed all heights of greatness when you want to burst out laughing seeing an intellecutally challenged individuals pitiable condition. Kudos to the writers for making this happen. They have clearly stooped to appealing to the least common denominator and still failed miserably .

Awesome post as always Kanan! Even I have lost the path to the confusing story, but I think it does not matter since HD is a fictional show after all. Just watch and forget, and admire the few good moments. 😃

@Walden and Maya: Honestly, I neither found today's epi interesting or entertaining. Not even frustrating. I cannot really articulate my reaction to it. Normally, I am amused at the way the scenes play out. But today, there was nothing. This post is an expression of that nothing. I am really losing the connect with the show.

Walden, the "meri ma" was perhaps the single factor that brought the epi further down by a couple of notches. (They were so much in love with it, they played it twice!!) I did not mention it because I did not have the right words to express the disgust I felt. These guys (writers, directors, and whoever else) do not understand subtlety. They go OTT with something that has to be understated and implied.

This whole misrepresentation of this Lahorewali is beyond me. The way she has been conceptualised and portrayed is childish. I know this comment will fetch me tons of brickbats, but I fail to understand how giving this character this shade is going to help the story. Had she been shown as traumatised (in a more realistic manner), it would have made a massive difference to the story. Now, the characters of Rishi and Zara can only feel pity for this character. And that pity will decide the course of action. Which is pitiable for the story. The dynamics between the three change completely.

We've had so many banal episodes that one more should not really make a difference, I suppose!

You know Kutumb walks slow !!! She is preoccupited with Zaras 15 lakhs . So Indu had few more second than 10 mins. Atleast Savita can cook !! One positive thing in the episode !!

MA song was horrible it was forced Atyachar on my mind. !!!!

I hope they do not stretch this. At this time I am with Twila , they can take ZARA and LW and throw them in the ocean and I will not Cry !!! what a absurd show!!! And I am watching it !! Mel advised me tostop watching it and I Did not listen !!!

😆 Heema, you won't believe it, but even I had thought of writing that the best acting in the epi came from the rooster. But it seemed a bit extreme and unfair to Rati's effort. After all, my frustration is with the writers and the director. But your comment here really cracked me up. Thanks 😃
