Sameer came to take Maahi from school.On seeing him,Indira was again angered but as promised,she didnt react in front of Maahi.Maahi said,Dekho mummy papa aaye hai mujhe school se lene.Dekho ye kitne achche hai aur aap khaamakha hi mere papa ko bura bhala kehti ho.Indira said,Ab ghar chale Maahi.Maahi said,Mummy chalo na hum teeno ek saath papa ke hotel mein rehte hai.Indira said,Maahi beta tumne jo chaha mummy tumhaari baat maan rahi hai na,to tumhe bhi mummy ki baat maanni chahiye.Kal Sunday hai na tum pura din papa ke saath bitaana par abhi ghar chalo.Tumhe nahakar,khana khakar sona bhi hai aur phir shaam ko parai bhi karni hai.Maahi made a face and looked at Sameer.He said,Chalo main tum dono ko home mein chor deta hu.Indira said,Koi zarurat nehi hai.Hum paidal chale jaayenge.Sameer said,Ok Maahi ke liye main paidal bhi chal sakta hu,but main usey ghar zarur chorunga.Indira found it useless to talk with him so all started walking.Maahi was holding their hands and walking in the middle.While they were almost near home,Maahi saw those goons who used to disturb Indira often.Maahi,pointed towards them and said,Pata hai papa ye saare badmaash na hamesha meri mummy ko tang karte hai.Ek din maine inka sar phor diya tha aur ye log mujhe maarne aaye the,par mummy ne inko daatne ke bajaaye mujhe hi daat diya.Sameer said,Really???Wait,aaj ke baad ye sab kabhi kisiko pareshaan nehi karenge.Sameer opened his suit and then his watch and gave it to Maahi and said,Beta ye dono pakro aur apni aakhe bandh karlo.Indira,guessing what he might do next,said,Sameer stop it!Mujhe abhi yaha Maahi ke saamne koi tamasha nehi chahiye.Sameer said,Agar baap hokar main apni bachchi ko protect nehi kar sakta,to mujhe baap kehlaane ka koi haq nehi hai.Maahi said,Papa dont worry mujhe action films bohot pasand hai.Sameer went towards them and said,Sharam nehi aati ek bachchi aur uski ma ke saath aisi ghatiya harkat karte huye.One of the goons asked,Tu kaun hai?Sameer punched on his face and said,Us bachchi ka aur tum sabka baap.Sameer fought with those goons and taught them a lesson.After that he said,Agar aayinda in dono ke taraf aakh uthakar dekhne ki bhi koshish ki na to jaan se maar dunga.Saying he returned to Indira and Maahi and took them to home.

Maahi was having a shower,before going she warned Sameer not to leave until and unless she returns.While she was away,Indira said,Tum yehi betho main abhi aati hu.Saying she left for a couple of minutes and then returned with a first-aid box.She sat beside him and said,Bohot to hero ban gaye apni beti ke aagey.Haath ki haalat dekhi hai kitna khoon beh raha hai.Indira took his hand in her lap and then started dressing her.Sameer felt very strange.After his mother,Indira was the first woman who genuinely cared for him.He suddenly asked,Tum aaj bhi mujhse hi pyar karti ho hai na?Indiras hand shook a bit and she looked at him with a jerk.After a few seconds she again resumed what she was doing.He again asked,Main sach keh raha hu hai na?Indira after completing his dressing,said,Nehi.Main tumse pyar karti thi,ab nehi karti.Par ha tumhaare aur mere beech mein ek anchaha rishta hamesha barkaraar rahega aur vo hai Maahi.Vo tumse utna hi pyar karti hai jitna ki mujhse aur main bhi usse bohot pyar karti hu isliye na chahte huye bhi mujhe tumhe jhelna par raha hai.Sameer smiled and replied,Me too.Actually hum dono mein in present situation bohot si cheeze common hai and of course vo saari cheeze Maahi se related hai.Indira turned her face away from him.She said,Tum please yaha se chale jaao Sameer.Bohot mushkil se maine apni beti ke sahaar jeena seekha hai.Ab main kisi bhi keemat par usey nehi kho sakti aur naahi usey tumhe le jaane dungi.Please Sameer,meri zindagi mein ab uske alava kuch bhi nehi bacha hai.Jaao yaha se.Sameer said,Maahi ko ek better zindagi jeene ka pura haq hai Indira.Main usey yaha aisi zindagi jeene ke liye chor nehi sakta.Delhi mein uske liye ek lavish zindagi intezaar kar rahi hai,aur main usey vo har khushi,vo har cheez dena chahta hu,jiski usey zarurat hai.Indira was about to say something,but at that moment,Maahi returned from washroom.She said,Papa chalo na hum sab saath mein lunch karenge.Indira said,Beta papa ko kaam hai,unhe jaane do.Sameer said,Ha aaj chalta hu beta,kal hum teeno ek saath lunch karenge.Promise.Indira said,Main nehi aa rahi.He said,Ek baar Delhi jaayenge na beta phir hum sab hamesha ek saath breakfast dinner,luch karenge.Saying Sameer pampered Maahi and then left from there.

Next day,after having breakfast and bath,Maahi went to Sameer for the whole day.Both went to a road trip and then had lunch outside.In the evening,Maahi returned home jumping and singing.Indira asked,Kya baat hai bari uchal rahi hai?Maahi replied,Mummy aaj hai na hum bohot jagah par ghumne gaye aur hum dono ne ek saath lunch bhi kiya.Humne aaj bohot masti ki.aapko pata hai papa ne kaha hai ke unhone mera admission Delhi ke bohot bare school mein karaaya hai aur main us school mein roz apne car se jaaungi.Kitna maza aayega na!Indira remained silent for some time.She send Maahi to fresh up and then called Sameer.The convo :-

I :- Ye kya samjhaane ki koshish kar rahe ho meri beti ko?

S :- (confused) Maine kya kiya?

I :- Tumne usey ye kyu bola ke hum Delhi ja rahe hai?

S :- To sach hi to bola hai.

I :- Nahi main aur nahi meri beti beti tumhaare saath kahi ja rahe hai,ye baat achchi tarah se apne dimaag mein bithalo Sameer.

S :- Maahi mere saath chalegi aur rahi baat tumhaari to maine to tumse oehle hi kaha hai ke main tumhe bardaasht sirf isliye kar raha hu kyuki Maahi loves you.So isliye tum bhi hamaare saath chal rahi ho.

I :- Zabardasti hai?

S :- Nehi bilkul nehi because tum to chalogi hi mere saath as I promised Maahi aur main apni promise nehi tor sakta.Tumhe to main request karne se raha,par ha aise haalat paida kar dunga main tumhaare zindagi mein ke tumhaare paas mere saath aane ke alava aur koi option hi nehi hoga.

I :- Tumhe jo karna hai tum karlo,Iam not coming.Maahi vohi rahegi jaha main rahungi.

S :- Right!Tum vohi rahogi jaha Maahi rahegi.So get ready my dear Maahi ki mummy!Just wait and watch!

Indira felt so disgusted that she disconnected the call.

Few days later,Joan called all the borders in her room and informed them that the homes chief trustee faced a lot of financial crisis,so he wont be able to help them anymore.Everyone were tensed on this announcement.Indira returned to her room and dashed down on the bed.Maahi,on seeing Indira like that asked,Kya hua mummy?Aap sad kyu ho?Indira replied,Hamaare home ko jo paise milte the na vo ab bandh ho jaayega.Ab shaayad hamaare home ko bhi tala lag jaayega.Maahi asked,Achcha?Par paise aane kyu bandh ho gaye?Indira replied,Pata nehi par abhi yaha jo saare log rehte hai,un sabko ye home chorna hoga.Kitnoke paas to ghar bhi nehi hai.Maahi asked,To phir sab kaha jaayenge?Indira replied,Pata nehi.Maahi thought for sometime and then suddenly said,Mummy aap papa se baat karo na,unke paas to bohot paisa hai.Vo zarur hamaari help karenge.Indira asked,Vo hamaari help kyu karenge?Maahi made a face and replied,Kyu nehi karenge?Papa hai vo mere,zarur karenge aap bolo to sahi.Indira gave a thought to it.At night she said to herself,Itne saalo tak jis home ne mujhe sahara diya aaj vo musibat mein hai.Mujhe uske liye kuch karna chahiye.Agar iske liye mujhe Sameer se bhi milna pare to main vo bhi karungi.Though she said it but she had to fight with herself a lot to do it in real.

Next day,Indira went to the hotel to meet Sameer.She rang the calling bell and Sameer opened the door.On looking at Indira,her breath caged itself in her throat since Sameer was standing bare bodied with a towel on his shoulder.Indira removed her eyes and asked,Tameez naam ki koi cheez nehi hai kya?KoiAisi haalat mein darwaaza kholta hai kya?Sameer said,Main kya karu?Agar aisa karta to tumhe wait karna parta aur vaise bhi tumne kaunsa mujhe aise pehli baar dekha hai.At that moment,one of the female boarders wwas going through the corridor and gave a seductive smile to Sameer.Indira glared at that woman and then at Sameer.She pushed him inside and said,Chalo mujhe tumse zaruri baat karni hai.Samer closed the door.Indira sat on the sofa and was about to say something,when Sameer said,Mother Mary Home ke chief trustee ko bohot bara financial loss hua hai,jiske vajah se vo abhi us home ko kisi kisam ki financial help nehi de sakte aur isiliye tum mere paas aayi ho.Indira was shocked on hearing this,since she didnt say anything to him about it till now.She gave a shocked look and asked,Tumhekaisepata?Sameer shamelessly sipped to his juice and replied,Maine hi kaha tha aisa karne ko.Uske liye maine usko bohot saare paise diye hai.Indira jumped up from the sofa and screamed,What???Sameer replied,Ha maine kaha tha na main aisa situation create kar dunga ke tumhe mere paas aana hi parega.Indira asked,TumTum aisa kaise kar sakte ho Sameer?In logo ne tumhaara kya bigaara hai?He said,Kuch nehi,par unki is haalat ka zimmedaar tum ho.Agar tum good girl ke tarah pehle hi meri baat maan leti,to mujhe ye sab karna hi nehi parta.Indira grinned,Main abhi jaakar unko sab kuch sach sach bata dungi.She went towards the door,when Sameer said,Bolna chahti ho ok fine,no problem,jaao jaakar boldo par isse tumhaari problem solve nehi hogi.Indira turned to him and confusingly asked,Kya matlab?He replied,Vo trustee to tumhe madat karne se raha aur agar vo help nehi karega to baaki ke trustees bhi nehi karenge aur is sheher mein vohi log kuch geene chune rahees hai,jo aise social works karte hai.Ab tum socho agar unhone madat karna bandh kar diya to tumhaare home ka kya hoga?Indira kept on staring at him and he continued,Ab main tumhaare saamne ek offer rakhta hu after all Iam a businessman.Ghaate ka sauda to karunga nehi.Isliye tum aur Maahi bina kisi argument ke achche bachcho ke tarah mere saath smiling face ke saath Delhi chalo,iske badle saari umar is home ki financial saari zimmedaari main uthaaunga.Its my promise.Indira asked,Agar main aisa karne se mana kar du to?He replied,Kardo.But ek baat yaad rakhna,jis home ne tumhe sabse musibat ke waqt par sahara diya,aaj usko tumhaare is chote se sacrifice ki zarurat hai,tumhaari vajah se tumhaara home aaj itni musibat mein hai.Ab uska future tumhaare ek decision par depend karta hai Indira.Think about it.Indira slowly in a disturbed state opened the door and left from there.

Indira returned to home in a disturbed state.Sameers words were continuously roaming in her head.She was left in the middle of a ocean all alone where on one side,if she had to save the home,she had to accept Sameers proposal,a life full of thorns.She kept on thinking a way out,but the more she used to think,the more her mind was puzzled.She remained cut off from everyone for many days.Slowly the homes situation started degrading more and more.One day,she went to Joan and asked,Mother agar kabhi humko aisa koi faisla lena pare jisme hamaari apni marzi na ho par us faisle se kahi zindagiya sudhar sakti hai to kya hume vo faisla lena chahiye?Joan replied,Agar aisa decision se kisika bhalai ho to usme koi problem nehi hai,par ha hum ek cheez jaanta hai,ke is dunia mein jo bhi hota hai achcha ke liye hota hai aur achcha logo ka saath kabhi bura nehi hota.Indira took a deep breath and then decided to accept Sameers proposal.She returned to her room and called Sameer.The convo :-

S :- Yes Miss Sharma boliye,kya faisla hai aapka?

I :- (took some time) Mujhe tumhaara proposal manzur hai.

S :- (a big smile appeared) Good girl.Main jaanta tha.Ab meri baat dhyaan se suno,main kal home mein aakar sab sambhaal lunga aur tum apni aur Maahi ki packing shuru karo kyuki hum parso hi Delhi laut rahe hai,uska schhol start ho jaayega.

I :- Itni jaldi mujhe sab arrange karne mein time lagega.

S :- Dont worry tum bas apna samaan pack karo,Maahi ko apne ghar mein sab kuch milega brand new.

Indira cut the call.

Next morning,Indira informed maahi that they are going to Delhi with Sameer and Maahi was the happiest person in the whole world.She spread the news in her class.Her best friend Sneha was very sad,so Maahi promised that whenever Sameer will come to Manaali for his work,she will also come with him.On the other side,Indira resigned from her job and also submitted Maahis T.C,which she got immediately.When she returned she found Sameer in the office of the home.Joan said,Indira dekho Sameer ne hamaara saath deal sign kiya hai ke vo is home ka pura responsibility uthaayega.Indira said,Mother asal mein mujhe aapse ek bohot zaruri baat karni hai.Vo maine tey kiya hai ke Maahi ko mere saath saath Sameer ki bhi zarurat hai,to isliye hum kal Delhi ja rahe hai hamesha ke liye.Joan remained silent for some time.On hearing the news,she had tears in her eyes,Indira too had tears.But still she said,Tumne bilkul thik decision liya Indira.Child ka future se barker parents ke liye aur kuch nehi hota.Tum dono chala jaayega hum sabko dukh to hoga par ek taraf se khushi bhi hogi.God bless you my child!Indira hugged her and cried.She slowly returned to her room and started packing.Maahi too helped her happily.

Next morning,Sameer came to take them.Indira and Maahi had an emotional farewell in the home.Before leaving,Joan said,Hum jaanta hai ke ye decision tumhaara vaaste easy nehi tha par phir bhi tumne liya.I hope one day love will find your way.Indira replied,Love nehi mother compromise.Its just a compromise for me.She waved hands to everyone and then left.While going to the airport,Maahi asked Sameer to stop near Snehas house.She met Sneha for the last time and they too left crying.On the way,Maahi said,Maine Sneha ko promise kiya hai ke aap jab bhi Manaali aayenge,mujhe yaha lekar aayenge.Sameer said,Of course le aaunga.Indira all the way quietly looked outside the window and said in her mind,Is ajnabee sheher ne mujhe bohot sahara diya aur aaj main usey chorkar ek insecured life bitaane ja rahi hu.Meri madat karna bhagwan.A drop of tear fall from her eyes.

While,in the airport,they were waiting for their flight announcement,Indira said to Sameer,Maine tumhaare jaisa businessman aajtak nehi dekha jo rishto,zindagi aur emotions ke saath sauda karta hai.He replied,Ye puri life ek business hai aur asli businessman vohi hota hai jo apni commitments ko nibhaaye,jaise maine nibhaaya hai tumse aur Maahi se kiya hua vaada.Indira grinned,Tum is dunia ke sabse vaahiyaat insaan ho Sameer.He gave a wicked smile and replied,Well I take that as a compliment!Ab chale flight ka time ho raha hai.Vaise in 8 saalo mein tum bilkul nehi badli,vohi gussa,vohi tevar aur bilkul vaisi hi khubsurat.Sach mein tumhe dekh kar koi ye nehi kahega ke tum ek 8 saal ki bachchi ki ma ho.Indira gave him a disgusting look and said,You are sick.She held Maahis hand and started walking forward and Sameer followed them with a wicked smile.
