Sharma men's susceptibility to Jhumpa

What is with Sharma men and Jhumpa? They just loose their minds and start thinking with their "other brain"😉 when it comes to Jhumpa😡

Honestly, I am just fed up with them. There is the father who left his family for her and placed the burden of a whole household on his 17/18 yrd old daughter

There is Munna bahisaab who has been shown to be very susceptible to his "Daddy ki setting", and it just one circumstance away from betraying his wife and his Dad with her. I kid you not!
Only saving grace is that Jhumpa has not really cast her net over him. It is just a matter of time!

Icing on the cake is the shy, responsible, intelligent Vidith. After all the havoc Jhumpa has wrecked on the family, especially Indira, he still has the temerity to think that she has his best interests at heart when he accepted the offer from her for a wheelchair and went with her to get it! My God, where were his brains😡 Wait, I know where😡 What an idiot!

And this is the man infront of whom Jhumpa planned with Simi the whole scheme of kidnapping Inder and getting money😡

Seriously, there are women in real life who really know how to use their sex appeal, overtly and covertly, and have all kinds of men wrapped around their tiny fingers. I have seen this in action so many times and it drives me BONKERS! Everything from fluttering their eyelashes to get away with not getting a traffic ticket, to workplace where grave sins are forgiven.

I mean, men just loose all their control and start thinking with their nether regions. All sense is tossed out the window. Vidith did just that. Forget about the harm she has done to the family. He is intimately familiar with how much misery she has created for Indira and how much Indira has suffered for the past 8 years because of the daily actions of this woman. And still he fell for her charm.

I think we were all gravely misled when we were asked to believe that Vidith was a "Male" Indira. He may not be as overtly selfish as the others, but he selfish and worse -as weak as other Sharma men. There have been many instances recently when he could have opened his mouth and spoken for Indira, shown his support publicly. He has stayed quiet each and every time.

I must also add that the actor emoted well when he was paralyzed. But now that he has to use his voice as well as facial expressions to communicate, I have found his acting to be subpar. It is as if he has not gotten under the skin of his character. I see KS acting, rather than Vidith

Ok, it is just myself on this thread. But the topic is so interesting, I will continue my discussion till someone takes either pity on me😭 or finds interest in the topic😃

Women like Indira hardly ever attract men, contrary to the "reality" based show called HD, where everyone from Rishi to Sam to Sumer(?) falls for her.

Many men tend to be very ego driven, and their egos tend to be very fragile. Women like Indira intimidate them, make then feel small and heaven forbid, if she scold them, they will react back with extreme aggressiveness. Even men like her boss- Mr Chadda - he needs her, realizes her value to his company - even men like him do not hesitate to call women like Indira a "b***h" behind her back, either to placate a male associate or to massage their own egos when they have been shown wrong by Indira-like women. I have experienced this up close and personal even in an enlightened industry like hi-tech, from lowest echelons to executives in a boardroom. And these women have been relatively tame in comparison to Indira's verbal takedowns.

Many years ago, I even had one of my subordinates give me "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus" to explain his recalcitrant attitude towards me. I did not know whether to whack him on the head or cry.

This is not to say all men, especially high-powered men, are like that. I have had the good fortune to have met and have in my life men like Rishi, who have a pretty good handle on their ego, and do not need a sub-ordinate woman to feel manly. what drives their ego is good ideas, good character, good sportsmanship.

This is the main reason I fell in love with Rishi, who despite his flaws is such a beautiful character. Other than playing lover right after the rape trial, Rishi was shown to be pretty secure in his own ego and his worth.

Jhumpa types
In my experience men usually fall hook, line and sinker for Jhumpa types. I have had many mentors who were the first women to reach upper echelons of corporate world tell me that I am making the same mistake that they made - ie compete purely on ideas and execution, never learning to use my gender's sex appeal.

Jhumpa has to just flutter her eyelashs or play the damsel in distress and men come running to her, ignoring all the bad she has done. Look at the saint Vidith. He forgot all the bad she had done, including plotting to have Inder kidnapped in front of him. He forgot it all and fell under's Jhumpa's spell. One only has to hear Jhumpa's sexy hindi in a Bengali accent, leaving aside her good looks for now. Is it any wonder why men jump when she says jump?

Lovely post. U have gone into great depth about men's ego. I have been very fortunate to have men like Rishi (who are in complete control of their ego's) in my life. That's one of the main reason I like (rather love) Rishi (despite his flaws - as u put it)😊.

I enjoyed reading your post , thank you .

In my opinion strong minded; focussed; determined highly intelligent achievers whether men/women will always attract or repel.

People who are often very successful and attain a degree of power, financial control and hold a position to influence decision makers and others have an edge to their attitude. The negative attitudes of these people are accepted / tolerated in respect to the measure of their success. The average person/ worker with such attitude will find hostility/animosity geared towards them.

Some women with strong personalities who display a high level of confidence and have an edge to their attitude (irrespective of whether they hold a position of power and influence) will undoubtedly ruffle feathers. To be honest they know it comes with the territory; they are aware that they are being called a "b---h" if not worse but they forge ahead despite their popularity pole – If they can justify their attitude and back it up with valid reasoning and substance then over time they may come to be respected for it or not. I believe that these outspoken women serve a purpose in our society – liked or disliked.

When it comes to Indira - she is intelligent, principled, feisty and has a strong personality added bonus she is physically attractive; her character has a potent combination. Different types of men are attracted to her like Rishi and Sam and possibly the new chap. She shows no sign of realisation/ vanity in her feminine power to attract- perhaps a quality these men appreciate.

Jhumpa's obvious feminine charms also attracts men; she too is intelligent in the way she has learnt to survive by manipulating men because in her world men use women like her.

Unfortunately women who only adopt the practice of using their feminine wiles to achieve their objective setback the women who struggle to achieve on a meritorious level.
