Is Kutumb Indira's step mother?

And if so.. it does sound realistic, the way she behaved through out the whole show, that's not how a mother is. I mean munna is a lafanga and Mandira was loose.. but STILL she loved them. I at first thought it was becase she was concerned about thei futures.. they have no good future.. but now.. I don't know.. was it just somehing he said.. or did he really mean it? Because today for the first time, I felt Indira was loved by someoen.. other than her brother/husband. Like she finally had a parent. And Kutumb was still ice cold..

HMM..even i was thinking on the same line..the way inder posed the question and indira crying..but i highly doubt it is true though i myself pondered over this question many times from the early episodes itself..kutumb has never gave away her mother s side when it comes to indira...i wonder why is she so cold towards her when she is the only one in the family who does everything for their sake...indira though loves her mother like anything.she does everything in her best to keep her maa happy.and she doesnt feel sad even when she is taunted almost daily for everything yet she always defend her from everyone..there s 2 strong elements here..would be very interesting if explored nicely..one,indira s possiveness towards her mother,almost like she doesnt wanna lose her at any cost-almost matches the adopted criteria -and kutumb s cold behaviour towards her,wiling to throw her out anytime-the stepmum criterion- haha..my imagination goes on and on...i think this is unlikely true..plus,indira has enough problems in her life to deal with...ill stop my rant now..btw ,thank you for the post...

Sachin - I feel so too.. She could be.. but you never know what HD CVs are doing. But it would justify SO much if it really was true.

Cynthia - I know.. all we can do is wait. & its true.. even stone melts under such cirumstances.. but this is kutumb we're talkign about.. See this is one of the reasons I feel she's not Indu's real mother..beceuse of the contants taunting and never any appreaciation... not even for a second.

Naina -I kinda disagree here.. I hope she turns out to be her step mother.. it would firstly justify SO many things... because now the show doesn't make sense to me.. the mother-daughter relation is something I cannot understand.
Her father who left their family is supporting her, he's kind.. then how can she as a mother behave like that. That is something I can't understand.
Are there really mothers like that?

I' do agree with most of the points.. its a 50/50 thought.. On one side it explains SO much if Kutumb turns out to be Indu's step mother.. BUT the question is why would Inder marry thrice? and if Indu isn't Kutumbs child then why would he leave Kutumb and marry Jhumpa and leave HIS daughter behind? And all this was before indira took responsebility of the whole family.. so it does seem unreal in a way..
