Hello Friends,

I have been thinking of a few things lately. About HD, its trps. And how people think HD can improve its Trps etc...

Firstly I don't believe that HD has bad trps at all. It is the 3rd most watched show on zee if trps are to be believed.

Secondly till date not a single show which tried something hatke has done brilliantly in trps immediately. They always needed time to grow...

Thirdly a show makes a mark when its creators believe in their own creation. And works hard on it to make it work for the viewers. But does not change everything for its viewers. cause if Viewers really knew what they wanted they would be writing a show themselves...

Now coming to the discussion about what people believe works or does not work on TV...

Look at all the shows which rule the TRP chart...DABH, SSN, IPKKND...etc...Have you ever seen those shows? I have...once in a while just to see what they show...Gosh...the women there...from which era they hail from? I do not know...Not a word against their evil in laws...most of them have husbands who better not be there...those men are so mean or spineless..The family of the girl is as selfish as the in laws...never encouraging the daughter to speak up when they should...And reeling under the belief that All is well...meri beti kitnee sanskaari hai...is this what people like to watch? Then thanks to god...HD does not have TRPs...

We people out here blame the Cvs, PH so much. But did we think how much risk they have taken to come up with a concept like HD?

Let us study the intricacies of HD a bit. We would know...

Firstly Indira...The woman who believes in being obnoxious to get what she wants. She has a miraculous way of fulfilling others need and they use her to get their stuffs done...They are upfront with their selfishness...no emotional bakwaas...Even she knows that makes people remember that...hahahahahahha...sanskaar be damned...

next Rishi...i think this guy just makes the blood boil of a lot of people...he isnt the typical insensitive bloke nor is he angry and all male like the muscle flexing heroes who throw their women around the place...he is not typically handsome either...yet he is adorable in his own way due to his perseverance...

Irrespective of many many problems in Indira's life we are still able to laugh at the ridiculousness of it all...and once in a while wonder are the Sharmas really unreal? or maybe somewhere there is a family tucked in who selfishly eats on their daughter's happiness and does not appreciate her for that?

I would say we should be grateful We got to see a show like HD where the female protagonist is so different and real...I like the fact she is so angry and hitlerish sometimes...makes her human...Even Rishi with his idosyncracies and hero syndrome...sab kuch ata hai but koi ek cheese pe nahi teekey rehta oher than his makan malkin ji ofcourse...😆 They are cute and adorable and have it in them to conquer the world...😳

HD makes a beautiful and refreshing concoction of unique elements...so why should we bother for trps or complain? let the Cvs come up with their stuffs...if they could conceive such an idea they can surely handle the rest...And Show makers should believe themselves, stick to their original ideas and not make this a hotch potch just to please the channel/viewers/media...

So what do you say guys...do you agree with me? do share your views...

Regards
Rinky

ausum post Rinky ji 👏
i totally agree wid each and every point of urs...

well coming to trp's i really dnt think so we shud go on them...
sirf trp's hi sab kuch nahi hoti na??/? aise kai shows hai jo trp's me high he but unme hi ghisa pita family drama and dupatta udhna and mil se baate sunna 😡come on kaunse era me ho ??? itz 21st century aaj ki ladkiya indira jaisi hoti he...self dependent ...

and i guess cv's ko viewers ki naa sunkar apni creativity par hi chalna chahiye...
agar aapko show apne hisaab se chahiye toh u hav full right to write on ur own for urself...😆

Cvs should take some cue from forums but generally depend on their own creativity...if they can conceive a good show they can also run it well...

very nice post 👏...i truly believe that even on its worst day...HD is better than any of the running saas bahu dramas...we might critisize HD in itself , its tracks etc but that is because we all know that the story of HD is very promising and we all want it to be the best that it can be ...but when compared to other serials on TV HD wins hands down according to me ...overall i ll always stick to watching HD ...infact i have quit watching all the other serials i used to watch to since HD started since i could no longer bear to watch them 😆

hd is zees best show no doubt about that
but ut hurts to see when it doesnt get the promotion it deserves

yes the holi special was heavily promoted and hd delivered but because o the absolute negativity of the track the whole beating scene🤢 it couldnt pick new viewers

actually i think hd needs time
its already after pr the most consistent show on zee

in time im sure it can easily get 3+ trps
pavitra rishta wasnt high in the starting it peaked after a long time

i hope zee keeps faith in the show
and promotes in when it has high points

I would like to say something about speed.

My interpretation of need to slow down is not to show "kheer 6 din mein pakte hae". Rather it is to not have one calamity right after another with no opportunity given to characters to absorb what has happened to them. Don't show one event taking 100 days like run of the mill serials. But between major events, show some character depth, some introspection, some interactions that show the inner thoughts of characters, why they are what they are etc

For example, why and when did Indira and Rishi fall for each other, why does Indira love him so much. We all know that now, but till the marriage episode, most of us were all guessing.

We never got to see Rishi's reaction to his mum being in jail, what he feels, if he did something to get her out, if not why not etc. It s as if that part of his history did not happen. He immediately went from being a man of conflicted feelings in the courtroom to his usual romeo self. This abrupt transition was the hardest to take, and was to the detriment of Rishi's character

Same thing with Mandira. How can she one day be so traumatized by rape and another back to lapping up glamour magazines

Now we have Indur. what happened to change him so radically. Here is a man who sent Indira to jail to be tortured etc just so that Jhumpa could have that necklace. Now all of a sudden this very same Indur is all for Rishi and Indira. Why? What happened? What is his thinking that has driven him to do such a 180 on the love of his life - Jhumpa?

So, slowing down means intersperse major events with some indepth character showcasing.

Nicely put up Rinky. Agree with all of the above. When thet stick to their original script the show does good, but when they try something for TRPs things just goes wrong.

this one aspect they should think about a LOT more...The characters are never shown licking their wounds or thinking or reacting to an incident...in the need to add speed every small detail gets overlooked...

even i wanted to see some moments where rishi tells videet when he fell in love...or even talking about his family...

inder sharma toh...gosh...he oscillates in between a good father and a cowardly devil all the time...
