HITLER DIDI

RISHI'S POV

NOTE: Although I simply love Rishi, Ricky has also interested me as he was what Rishi used to be. So in this chapter, I'll be dueling on Ricky's life in New York until the accident involving Vidit happened. But I am very confused about what really happened immediately after Ricky hit Vidit Vaiya. Did Ricky run away leaving Vidit to die? Or did he stay behind? I simply can't digest the first option nor can I fully accept the second one as Rishi didn't say that it was false. So I have merged both options! Hopefully you will like it! Please do comment! And as usual, constructive criticism is much appreciated!😊

THE STORY SO FAR: In order to escape the negligence and madness of his own family, the young Ricky Diwan runs away to America with the hope of starting a new happier life.

CHAPTER 2: CRASH WORLD

Life in New York- the city that never sleeps was myriad….for some, that place as a gold mine…. for some, it was a busy industrious life…..some had come there in order to fulfill their dreams only to find themselves trapped in a web of poverty and never-ending sorrow…in which every day was dominated by a harsh struggle for even the basic amenities…..But one thing was common to all- struggle for existence….

But in their midst was a carefree soul…….who hummed a tune as he dressed for an event…..He was clearly dressed for a party….He had no worry or pain in the world….He was the rich son of a rich family and had all his expenses taken care of without having to do any work...He was the luckiest and a very happy person…..but was he?

Ricky collected his wallet and car keys and stepped out. A cool convertible was waiting for him outside. Ricky got that car from his dad just about three months ago. His brother Sameer aka Sam 'helped' him in that by poisoning their father! What a grand guy that Sam was! Ricky jumped into the car and drove out...Soon he was sitting on a crowed New York City street. A giant of a traffic jam was there but Ricky was quite cool…. Everyone hates traffic jams but somehow Ricky found solace in them….He would silently watch the many commuters and their actions and reactions and more often than not, talk to them….He was an easy company and could easily strike a conversation with anyone, anywhere. Those made him forget his loneliness up to an extent….Ricky switched on the radio. His favourite station started playing David Archuleta's song 'Desperate'. As Ricky tapped his feet to the rhythm and absorbed the catchy lyrics, a few lines of the song strongly arrested his attention….It said,

'You want somebody, just anybody to lay their hands on your soul tonight…….

You want a reason to keep believing that someday you're gonna see the light

Coz you're desperate………..'

Ricky started humming as his heart filled with loneliness…

'Coz you're desperate………Am I desperate…….…? Oh yeah, I am desperate…….'

Several years had passed since Ricky Diwan ran away from his 'home'…. 'Home' in which he never received any love or care… where he was constantly rebuked and neglected…..He never had a family to care for him……His parents came to know about his location not many days after he ran away but they did nothing to take him back home…. What a great family he had! Although he wanted it that way, Ricky couldn't help but be depressed at that negligence…But he had found himself an excellent remedy for any pangs that he experienced…….New York was a magical city after all! Everyday Ricky would wake up and help his landlady, a kind old lady in completing the household chores and then, go out to the lawn……..There he would sit for hours sketching cartoons for he worked as a cartoonist in a reputed magazine…! He made money in fits and starts. He worked not because he needed to but because he loved drawing and could forget his loneliness while drawing……But his wasn't exactly a daily routine! He made money in fits and starts! Whenever he wanted a change he would go on a trip with his friends! At night, he would go to parties and almost fill himself up to the brim with alcohol in order to forget himself and his life…… Today was no exception……..

Soon, Ricky reached his friends' place and with their help, he managed to clear his mind. They reached the posh club in which they would be partying. It was magical! There was enough wine to drown him and there were many pretty girls to flirt with! It wasn't much time before he and his friends hit the dance floor. He received a call from his off and on girlfriend who called him to grouse about what a fix she was in as her favourite designer couldn't get her dress ready in the scheduled time as a result of which, she had to experience the great disgrace of wearing an outfit she had already worn before! Ricky snorted at that and somehow managed to get rid of her and went back partying…..He and his friends partied late and were among the last to leave the club….By then, Ricky had lost count of the number of glass of wine he had consumed! But he didn't stop and brought some more bottles before moving out!

Now was the time for 'The Fast and the Furious'! The road was quite empty and so, Ricky sped up as much as he could. Two of his friends were cheering him. Only Sanjay had complaints to make! 'Yaar Ricky', Sanjay said, 'Tune bohot pi rakhi hai. Mujhe car chalane de!' Ricky only laughed at that and opened another bottle of wine and started drinking… The other friends cheered but Sanjay kept on insisting. Sanjay was a good guy but sometimes he worried too much! So Ricky turned towards Sanjay and said, 'Sanjay, avi tak duniya ne aisi koi vi wine nehi bani jo Ricky Diwan ko nasha chara sake!'

But…………..everything that happened in that next moment appeared as if in slow motion………Ricky just turned his eyes back to the road when he saw a man right in front of him…..they shouted….but it was too late for anything…..even brake…… The car hit the man and he was thrown in the air……he fell onto the ground only after the car had passed….. Ricky stopped the car and rushed out to the man. He was unconscious and he was an Indian……Oh God……What had happened…?! Ricky mind was numb with shock…..His friends were shouting about what would happen to them then, when Ricky's mind restarted again...If his family comes to know about that then, he would have to go back to India….to them……..Oh no….No no no……He just couldn't go back there……. no ways!!! He quickly surveyed the area. There was no one……They could easily escape unnoticed! Yeah, he had no other option! It was the man's fault! He was walking in the middle of the road after all! Ricky told his plan to his friends and was about to run away when…………

'Vaiya aap thik to hai na?! Aap jawab kyun nehi de rahe………', the panicked voice of a girl said…It was coming out of the phone that the man had dropped…Ricky fearfully picked up the phone….The voice continued, 'Vaiya please jawab dijiye! Aap ko pata hai ki mujhe iss tarah ka majak bilkul nehi pasand! Arrey aap hi toh hai mere, iss duniya mein…. Nehi toh mein kabka apna jaan de deti………'

O God…..It was too much for Ricky….He adopted a different voice and said, 'Haa… mein thik hu…Tum bolo….' In that way Ricky talked for about a minute with the owner of the voice and calmed her. Soon he was driving as fast as he could leaving the man behind…..After crossing about a kilometer, to his friends' surprise Ricky stopped the car and ran to a telephone booth. He hurriedly dialed a number…..Thank God! He was connected immediately!

'Hello 911, there was an accident in….street and a man is injured….. He will probably die if he does not receive immediate medical care…This is no joke! Please send help immediately!' saying that in an American accent and a different voice, Ricky hung up……. He had done all he could at that moment…..Now he had to save himself……

Thanks a lot guys! Your appreciation means a lot!
But I have got stuck in the 3rd chapter! I suddenly have found myself in the middle of the Bourne Ultimatum! I mean am just not able to comprehend how Rishi could have hidden the news of Vidit Viaya's accident while he was at jail! Surely, the emabassy would have known about that and the Sharmas should have been informed? but that didn't happen and so now, am making theories after theories about how to hid that fact! Will try to come up with something if not foolproof, at least somewhat convincing soon! But my brain has kind of stopped working after reading about this new entry and Rishi's kidnapping!
