What you say is very very possible... Maybe this the way the Cvs want to end the "diwans" chapter.
Anyway, Rishi is shown as a push-over hero... Indira just keeps pushing him all over the place and he obeys meekly without the slightest objection. So his makanmalkinji tells him (rather orders him) to marry Mandira and our guy dutifully obliges... after all makanmalkinji ke liye kuch bhi kar saktha hai...😕

The Cv's may introduce this track, but I don't think Indira will support it. Her character seems very fair, and knowing that Rishi loves her, she wouldn't ask him to do such a big sacrifice (at least, I hope so). My POV.
