Let's also not forget that, it is mocking quality against the ordinary, that makes this show and the characters special. So far every character plays the parody of the ordinary role. Starting from Kutumb, even to the point of Radhe and Sameer.
The only exceptions are Ishaan and Amma. One a child and another an old woman, the only two characters playing angels and cupids to Inshi.
About Radhe's and what is mocking about him ? A broker who wants to go home to his wife by 6 pm or 7 pm. How oxymoronic is that ?'
Sameer -- how kanjoos and OCD he is ? Again oxymoronic towards his being rich businessman and trying to be machiavelli
👏 So true, Shridevi! I think it's so neat that we have a set of people who have decided to make a show with characters that are parodies/extremes of the stereotypical roles that we find on TV...And at the same time, the protagonist(s) Indira "Hitler Didi" "Makaan Malkin Ji" and her Kiraidaar have layers, complexities, and very realistic flaws. Neither one is one-dimensional in the way that most shows' protagonists are presented.
I like shows that have realistic characters...I didn't even start watching HD when it first began, but I was randomly drawn to it because: 1) Bol Na Halke Halke was the first thing I heard in the background of the hospital sequence back in January and I LOVE that song; 2) Seeing Rati as Indira impressed me so much, the character seemed complex; and 3) I wanted to know what the whole deal was between this Kiraidaar and Indira since I thought she disliked him.
PS: I loved Ishaan's and Amma's intro scenes. The music during that first scene where Rishi and Amma are talking to each other needs to come back! It was so pretty yet somewhat sad also. Major, major, major foreshadowing in that little conversation - and that was when I realized that there was more to Rishi than meets the eye.
