I don't think she doesn't understand her problems or others, she does, but her way of solving them is not always correct, but mostly she is right. Like the marriage alliance for Mandira, she would not have been able to solve the problem this way, but caused her more difficulties. But this does not mean she is ingorant, definetly not. I think even this marriage within a month does not seem to be the right way for her, she is going to be proved wrong.

Poor her, i don't blame her for this. She was never in a situation where she can rely on her family members for support to solve the problems. Agreed she is not perfect, but she is almost.
