Rati Pandey dressed as Hitler

While the name of the show 'Hitler Didi' may have stirred up quite a storm during its launch, it doesn't seem to have deterred lead actress Rati Pandey from dressing up as the (in)famous Adolf Hitler for the show's New Year special episode. At a recent shoot of what looks like an exciting theme party coming up on Hitler Didi, we spotted her dressed up as the Nazi dictator, complete with a fake moustache and the Nazi uniform. While Rati might have chosen to stay true to her character in the show, the rest of the cast was spotted dressed up in colorful vibrant costumes, playing iconic characters from Hollywood and Bollywood films.

Talkative and bubbly Smita Singh who plays Sunanina Bhabhi looked pretty dolled up as a courtesan a la Umrao Jaan or Pakeezah, shaking a leg to Inhi Logon Ne Le Leena Dupatta Mera while Sandeep Baswana, her hubby on the show, got into the Big B's garbs from the 80's cult hit Shahenshah. With little Master Ishan looking absolutely adorable as a mini Superman, the show has roped in little Zaina Vastani of Aap Ki Antara fame as his cute l'il love interest who will land up at the party dressed as Superwoman In a complete 180 degree turnaway from his on-screen character, Sumit Vats who plays Rishi, the male lead on the show, surprised everyone when he showed up as a rogue pirate straight from the Pirates of the Caribbean! Between the eye patch and roguish charm, it took the entire crew a while to correctly guess the identity of the dashing light eyed pirate who had invaded the sets.

"It was good fun being Adolf Hitler for the New Year's Eve party! After all, they call me Hitler wherever I go these days. The idea of dressing up as him started off with a brainstorm over what Indira should wear to such a light-hearted theme party when she is such a serious person. Since the entire family calls her Hitler Didi, it felt like the most logical thing for her to dress up as. Let's hope everyone loosens up a little and and takes it with a pinch of salt." said Rati when asked about her look.
