Today, Indira really took advantage of Rishi's help, not in a selfish way but in a way that made it clear that she feels like she didn't owe Rishi anything. He provided her with an answer, and she took the lead.. Personally, I think she could have atleast nodded in acknowledgement to him in the garage but as per her self-imposed attitude - he didn't really deserve anything after putting her in a situation where her family could taunt her (munna's bail), keeping her on edge throughout the uzbeki interaction only earlier in her day (the past three or so episodes really only spanned tele-world's one day 😆), and finally making small dives into her personal space (flirting with her and making references to her bittersweet past).
While I might agree that the stress of her day and family is great, his presence really does exacerbate it because he's making her face diiferent situations, emotions, and most importantly human interactions. From dealing with such a nikamma family to an outsider that is an adult with a lighthearted view - he really is putting indira through a curve that she really needs. Yes, its important that she manage her household, but at this rate if she doesnt manage herself then she'll be left as a mere walking body... rishi wants to alleviate this but his actions have been wrong & he has admitted to that today. more so, the grandma next door acts as a type of plot guider & even she mentions that rishi is not helping indira. he agrees that his one action really changed his playing field (which totally SURPRISED me that ~THREE realizations were announced in ONE episode).
so here comes to my main interest .. with all these factors and self-realizations occuring - indira seems to mention her worries concerning trust & rishi without noticing. First, she tells him as he offers her kulfi that the rollercoaster he is putting her through makes her uneasy. it's easier to be critical and not trust - so she does just that. she tells him that she doesnt want to put any hope towards him because its easier that way. but she gets called away before she could say anything to fortify that action to not trust by sunaina's call. i think this is why rishi is able to debate whether or not he is the right person to bring happiness to indira & not accept that he in fact is the wrong person.. what i mean to say that she left her rant totally open-ended and as his food for thought
then as she goes to close the door in order to tend to ishaan in peace, she has another bought of verbal diarreha & tells rishi where exactly her fear grows from .. the fact that rishi is childish still, seemingly innocent about the cruelness of reality. how can someone like that support someone like her. who has ever heard of a soft support for something heavy? finally, indira tells rishi that he should wise up before he becomes a fool ... i think she was relating her experience & those feelings. she was carefree once with a loving father & like a blindfold being ripped away he went off with another women leaving all sorts of burdens. what i also liked about this scene is that she DOES NOT CLOSE THE DOOR on rishi. in my mind, he still has an opening .. 😊
as for rishi .. im sure he'll make sense of this interaction with indira & understand where she is coming from. but i really liked how his eyes did tear a little, it made him seem like less of some super-baacha/hero & more like someone who is putting on his best face in bringing positivity to indira. we all have our faith rocked sometimes but i dont think our londa itni aasani se har man ne wala hain
