I'm completely agree with you. The first episode was executed perfectly. The family is indeed very ungrateful to the point where they are all just plain mean. No one cared about opening the door for Indira when she came home late. She does her best to take care of them all, and no one had the decency to do the simple task of just opening a door. I also like how there is so much to this story.

They have the father/new wife track, Munna's storyline, and Indira's brother which is a complete mystery to me. They also have the new tenant, Rishi, with a hidden agenda. So much going on. This has already become one of my favorite shows, and it's been only four episodes...I think. lol

I also like Rishi. The character seems promising as well as the actor. I'm confused as to why people hate him...I'm at least going to give him a chance. :)

@Supriya: Thank you so much!
@Rinky: lol not just that, but interestingly it has been good :D
@Aisho: OMG what happened to your old id?
@Anu: You know I love the fact that they show the gallis of Delhi, which gives it that refreshing look. Yes, the cast is good (umm with an exception of one lol) I loved the small interaction beween her and her father, which reminds me .. i like the slow version of the BG music that plays. @last sent: bang on! Exactly why I am watching it.
I am actually looking forward to Indira and her step mother scenes lol
@aish: Yes! It seemed to me that the step mother wasnt to pleased on seeing munna there... not to mention the father seemed like a wuss. You could tell he feared his wife. lol I can just imagine when Indira finds out that Munna borrowed money...
@Fairy: thank you so much!

Firstly welcome to the forum. :)

& I agree fully with your post. Lookig from the title and promos there wasn't much I was expecting from this show. The only reason I was going to watch it was for Rati. But the first episode got me hooked. The unique characters, plot, the emotions showed so superbly. Its all so enchanting. And every episode gives you something new. Its not the most perfect serial, it has its faults but overall its really good.

One of the main things about it, is the character of "Indira". After Nupur this is one strong character Rati is potraying, and she doing the role so perfectly that you can't stopbut adore it... and in every episode you see a new side to her. :) She's reallyn unique. 😳

Awesome post Gagan. 😊 Looking forward to more post from you from now on.

Gagan.

Hey Gagan,
Really well said!!! This is spot on from the scene at the dinner table where her sister in law is whining and crying about how Indira could do this with her own brother however Indira is least bothered and she continues with her eating reflecting the fact that she is so used to the antics of her sister in law and her brother's false declarations. They would whine, cry, make noise but in the end do nothing productive and rely on her for support.

Gagu.. Its SO NICE and AWESOME to see you here.. Now this feels like the HD forum.. with your presence

And coming to your post, I agree with each and every word.. The first time I heard the title.. U know what was my reaction... and then when I saw the show, I felt Indira is not at all Hitler.. she looks stiff and strict from the outside, but has a heart which is softer than the wax..

And she has learnt to be like this.. and at times, its really difficult for her to be like that.. She isn't the kind of person who will go on talking rudely to every Tom, dick and harry.. but she has learnt that This Way will only help her.. A very strong headed person who doesn't like to be sympathized with.. who doesnt take crap from anyone, even if its her mother.. and Bhaisahab.. poochi hi mat.. hez really good...

So, I m in for this show 😃 😃 😃

The only person who understands this HD is her nephew Ishaan.. and their scenes are very ADORABLE.. This is defo a HIT PAIR.. which can make everyone say.. They LOOK SO Good Together.. 😳

So, overall, HD is quite rocking.. and Rati is SUPER ROCKING except for one person.. (if tht person is casted opposite Mandira, I;ll like him too) 😛 😛

Gagan , welcome to HD forum 😃
You have said everything what we all wanted to say , just to let you know, when i got the news on IF that RP is going to do serial called HD ( Hitler Didi) , Since that day i started dreaming RP as a Hitler n i used to tell my friends ke Naam main kya rakha hai , i have full faith on RP n her choice, I m glad i was not wrong 😊
Back to HD, its a fresh show with new concept n best thing is as u said jhalak of purani dilli ..😃. Showing real delhi making this show special n original, cast is promising including RIshi, it is nice to see Makers showing different side of women rather than rona dhona bahu on TV, 50-60% of Indian girls are supporting their family finaicially n emotionally ,acha laga makers girls ka yeh real side bhee deekha rahe hai finally jo bahut pahle deekhana chahiye thaa 😃, me tired of seeing same rona dhona dukhiyari bahus everywhere in all channels ...
Back to HD again..RP is rocking n her expression n acting , kya kahna, no one can beat her when it comes to acting on indian tele n her chemistry is fab with everyone including Rishi but i like the best with Ishan, 1st episode was the best start when intro part was shown via Ishan n the way they introduced Indira n other casts like Munna, Sunanina, Mandira, maa , rishi , office people n today Baba & Jhumpa.. each characrer has got its own charm n they do make interesting with their own way n Indiras emotion has been portrayed very well .It is a promising show n worth watching n I m proud that RP chose somethint hat ke as she always said she wants to do something different and i m proud to say " Yes She is doing something different" ..
yes i agree with Divya.. Rocking couple of HD is Indira +Ishan .😃
Please keep coming to HD forum Gagan.. we miss u n preeti

@Gagan:

Yess! Indira is going to be soo disappointed, but at the same time, I think she may defend Munna in front of the evil stepmother. She seems really mean...and the father is a wuss. I mean seriously, why would you want to live with a woman who is constantly mean to you and bossy. How can you not stand up for yourself? I can't wait to see what happens next. :)

LOL@ the one exception...so true...I'm bearing him for now though cuz the show overall is showing a lot of promise...I honestly feel it's a different kind of presentation for a show compared to most I've seen in a while...it seems to be a well WRITTEN show...which in itself is rare on TV these days where one dimensional characters and non-existent storylines rule the roost...

Indira as a character itself is so unique...there have been characters of other single working women in soaps but they have still been "ideal bahu/beti" types who soon get married and the story of a show changes...but Indira appears to be different from that...because her circumstances are unusual and she has such a good for nothing useless family that's made her this way...no one is willing to step up to the plate so she had to and she had to be strict in order to keep that discipline which is the only thing keeping them afloat.

Totally agree about the fact that being shot in the galis gives it a very natural feel like you're actually inside a gali and not an artificial set...kudos to the PH for doing this...gives a refreshing feel to the show.

Yeah that bg music is very nice...they also played it in the scene when Indira comes home and no one opens the door...such a simply shown scene...if it was any other show, there would be a maha sad tune playing with Indira crying in some corner in hurt...but here they showed Indira so matter of factly...she has no choice but to keep moving on no matter what hurdles life throws at her...she's had to toughen herself up to survive and that aspect of her character is being shown in a very realistic manner.

back to replying to your topic Gagan.

Most people said what is to be said. Indira is a no nonsense, rude, often obnoxious sort of a character. As to why she is like this? because she didn't and doesn't like doing stuffs that she is forced to do now...Some men and women would accept life and continue providing for their family with a happy face, like you see most females in similar serials...Indira likes to state her contribution to the family. Does that make her arrogant and insensitive? maybe it does. But that is what I like about her. She knows she needs to be immune to her dramatic and weak family member for the collective good and also forceful to make them realise her worth.Its her practical sense of survival that makes her this way cause honestly the entire family is quite useless and uncaring and so is the spineless father.

I like Indira for this very same reason. For her strict, arrogant, on your face bordering on rude attitude...She is not perfect, she is Her...hatke... and that is what attracts me towards her😊

keep posting on the forum Gagan...you add more credibility to it...😆
