What kind of ITV fiction shows are we looking for! | Discussion Thread

We all know what content we are looking for in ITV fictions. We all are looking for good content.

But every individual as a different point of view regarding a show they are looking for.

So in this thread we will be discussing on what kind of hindi television series or soaps you are looking for since eternity but you are not getting to see it.

Like for eg.

I am looking for a romcom drama where the leads are well written characters (strong-headed, independent bla bla bla) and well established in their professions. Where the family are like friends and friends/colleagues are like family. Breaking stereotypes and leading a modern day lifestyle.

Now you say. 😊

i am looking forward to seeing modern romcoms and youth oriented romantic dramas.

A finite show where ML and FL has normal jobs in different companies like 75% of Indian population like they shown in old DD shows and also in Western shows. The love story should be realistic. After marriage, FL should continue her job without any problems from her in-laws like how married women actually work in India. Everyone should wear normal clothes at home instead of heavy and fashionable clothes like in old Hindi shows and also Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. Maya was a high class lady and Monisha was her DIL but at home they wore normal clothes. Maya who wore simple but classy sarees while Monisha wore casual pants and skirts. Also no overdose of villains but realistic problems. I don't understand why they always show ML as super rich and FL as super poor and them getting married which is so unrealistic. People can hardly relate with all that nonsense.

Good actors, relatable and strong characters, with less drama,and having a homely vibe to it.( something like the initial days of YHM). Its better if the shooting of the entire show gets completed before the show goes on air. That way,the show would be saved from butchery for TRPs

It's no use. The channel makes PH edit the pre-shot scenes and end show early. They did this to Prithvi Vallabh and a Colors show that recently ended. Prithvi Vallabh was supposed to 80 episodes but ended in just 45. More than half of the show was pre-shot but channel politics ruined the show.

Apart from modern day rom-com with realistic ML/FL and side characters, I would love to see a fanatsy/period show with an enemies to lovers trope. And I mean proper enemies- like on opposite sides in a war, not just rivals bickering,

It was supposed to be of 80 episodes but it ended in 45 due to channel politics. So the last few episodes were rushed and illogical but still for 40 episodes it was awesome. Here the ML loves her from start but she always hates him. Yes they had a war as you said.
