i'll try to tell you some important points of the storyline:
HNKHW is basically based on black magic but its not a plain horror show, it also has elements of a family show like love story, drama, comedy, action etc.
There are three leads in the show...Bhakti, Kunal and Vishaka
Kunal and Vishaka's family believe in black magic and they practice it as well...but in Kunal's family only his grandmother Bhawaani Maa, his eldest uncle Vikram and youngest uncle Damodar are involved in black magic...rest of Kunal's family including Kunal himself are not aware of the black magic stuff at all
whereas Bhakti's family is very religious
Kunal is an orphan...his parents died in a car accident, Kunal was critical too but Bhawaani Maa and Vishaka's dadaji i.e. Guru Ji transferred Kalka's ansh in Kunal's body and Kunal was saved.
Kunal and Vishaka are childhood lovers...Vishaka's life starts and ends with Kunal, her only motive in life is to get married to Kunal
As the Kalka inside Kunal will kill his first wife...so in order to save Vishaka they have married Kunal with Bhakti...Kunal and Bhakti got married in a black wedding, different from normal hindu wedding
Vishaka has shifted to Kunal's house post Kunal-Bhakti marriage to keep an eye over their married life
Who is Kalka?
Kalka was born some 50 years back..he was a human but he had some black powers which he used for his evil motives...he even used to fulfill wishes of others so people started following him.
But 25 years back...some religious people burned Kalka alive, Bhawaani Maa has helped them in killing Kalka but later on to save Kunal she agreed to be a follower of Kalka
25 years back to save Kunal...Bhawaani and Guru Ji put Kalka's ansh in Kunal
because of that ansh...Kunal cannot enter any mandir, hear any bhajan...he gets out of control when he witnesses any such thing
and now with Kunal-Bhakti marriage the Kalka inside Kunal has activated fully...he has murdered 2 people, attacked Bhakti's dadaji...but Kunal is not aware of it
and now a masked man has entered the show...he is against Bhawaani Maa and Guru Ji
Masked Man has stolen Kalka's panja (Bhawaani and Guru Ji used to control Kalka by doing black magic on that hand)
now Kalka's panja is with masked man so he is controling Kalka as per his wishes
One more thing the main motive of Kalka's followers is to bring him back to this earth...once Kunal and Vishaka are married, Kalka will take birth as their first child...Vishaka is the chosen one to give birth to Kalka
