hey this is a startling dicovery...ormaybe a blunder made by jk...

acording to jk...

voldemort split his soul into 7 parts to make horcruxes

n this is what she said abt dementers

the dementer"s kiss...that they suck out ur soul...but ur body will be intact

doesnt this mean even after destroying d horcruxes voldy woundnt be dead....sounda dead funny to me....

Well...if you destroy all the Horcruxes...there still 1 part of voldemort's soul left...the one which is in his body.

And if you use the Avada Kedavra on him then...he will be killed...and his body would stop functioning as well...

If, alternately, u use a Dementor to do the job for you(highly unlikely that said Dementor would work for you) then he will suck out Voldemort's soul n his body will continue to live on. But he will have no memory...no thoughts...no will power..no nothing...he'll be an empty shell...so technically he's still living but he's useless anywayz...

i am just trying to point out that usin d word soul for both d cases is wrong...i know how dementers n horcruxes prform...n i hav read all hp buks atleast 20 times...n its just d word which sounds wrong....

It is not wrong dear. The Dementors suck out your soul...and leave your body the way it is...

And Voldemort split his soul into seven pieces....not his body!!!

So she has to use the word "soul" for both the cases....
