Why was Snape so touchy over being called a coward?
there's got to be something we don't kno...or it's just that he doesn't like it

I think he was touchy about it because in Order of the Phenix James, Sirius and their other friends used to tease Snape when they were young.

I don't really know why he despised(love that word!) being called a coward...but I wondering on that to...but what Snape said about James liking a four to one fight was true seeing as to how whenever James would bother Snape he would have three other people with him...that does sort of show a rather coward like personality...but then again James always acted immature....so...this was another one of his immature ways....anyone get what I'm saying? I think I confuesd myself....anyways just ignore this if it doesn't make sense...
i get wat ur saying, but i was wondering if the whole "coward" thing was related to anything he has just done and we don't kno abt...i'm not sure..i'm mite just be over-analyzing things
The "coward" thing may be related to:
1) James and Sirius calling him "Snivelly"
2) Him crying when his father shouted at his mother when he was younger
3) Not remaining loyal to Dumbledore due to fear of his own death (he would have broken the Unbreakable Vow)
