"So, how was detention?", asked Remus.

"It was pathetic." answered James & Sirius at the same time.

"I don't believe it. What sort of a girl doesn't like to see so many trophies won by a single human being? I mean, I've shown each & every one of my girlfriends my trophies, & they like them so much..."

"Well, maybe she doesn't want to see your trophies. What about you, Padfoot?"

"That Filch. He made me work till the last second, that too the muggle way, &..."

He went on for about 20 minutes before Lupin said, "James! I have an idea!"

"About what?"

"About you getting Evans to like you."

"And how do we do that?"

"We'll get Padfoot to date her..."

"WHAT!!!???", yelled Sirius & James in unison.

"Moony, you sure about this? I mean, what if she starts liking Sirius instead of me?"

"She won't. Sirius'll keep talking about you the whole time."

"But how will she go on a date with him in the first place? She doesn't like me, how will she like Sirius?"

"For that, Sirius, remember, do not tell her how good-looking you think you are-"

"-but...", cut Sirius.

"You will not tell her about the number of girlfriends you have had-"

"-Remus, have you gone mad?", he said, exasperated.

"You will not tell her about your number of trophies."

"Now, really! I am only human, Moony. How can you expect me to not show off my amazing looks & number of girlfriends??"

"I'm doomed..." said James gloomily.

"OK, Sirius, remember, no show-offs, help her with her books, & for heavens' sake, comb your hair."

"No," said Sirius flatly, "I am not doing anything to my hair."

"Fine then, sorry Prongs, looks like Padfoot's not interested in helping you out."

"If I wouldn't have been interested in helping James, I wouldn't even have agreed to dating Evans."

"Whatever. Please, Sirius, only say whatever I told you to."

"Alright, alright, I'm going."

The bell rung. Lily started collecting her books.

"May I help you?", asked Sirius.

"What are you doing here?", asked Lily.

"Oh, I thought you might need help."

And saying this, he collected all her books & started moving ahead.

What in the world is he doing, thought Lily. "Why are you helping me, & where are your friends?"

"Ummmmm....."

"Why is it taking so long?"

"James, its only been 10 minutes."

"Yeah, & thats a long time."

"Wormtail, do you mind not talking? There's already a lot on my mind right now."

"There he is, there comes Sirius."

"Padfoot, mate, what happened?"

"It worked."

Ok, that is it for now, I hope it was long enough, & once again, plz do comment, & review it too..... with both the good & bad points, so if there's any kind of room for improvement according to you, plz do tell me, I'll try my very best to improve. 😊
