I second the above guesses..Diadem?...Locket?...Voldy ?

I thought the "little of the land" could be Ginny in first year but it could also mean Umbridge, so locket seems likely..

Avie, nothing is coming to my mind, the second line sort of reminds me Parvati Patil's or Pansy Parkinson's comment about Hermoine during the Yule Ball..

As for the entire riddle, it reminds of True Blood Vampires 😆..
