But may I also say, Dumbledore hid so many things from Harry. About his past, about Ariana and Aberforth and his father and mother and also what he saw in the mirror of Erised. Although this diminishes his repute a teeny bit, I agree, he IS the greatest man who ever lived.

Yes there is no doubt that Dumbledore was the greatest, most noble wizard to ever grace the earth !

But that doesn't solve the mystery of leaving Harry those puzzles pertaining to hallows which further consumed a lot of time, effort and energy of the leading trio..they were after all just 3 teenagers on a mission to save the world..it wasn't the time to take tests or check worthiness but to aid for the quest..bcoz the leading trio had proved their worth on numerous occasions b4..there was no reason for making the quest all the more confusing and frustrating for the teenagers than it already was..Dumbledore certainly shared everything he knew about Horcruxes but hid everything about Hallows..

Oh and also, there is the matter of Dumbledore's talking breathing portrait in the headmaster's office at Hogwarts..

At HOGWARTS. Snape was headmaster at the time! Oh, gee, why didn't Harry just stroll into the office and chat with Dumbledore's portrait?! Seriously, is that even a valid point? I expected more of you, dude...

Yeah! That would be a major bit of fun! Imagine Harry walking into Hogwarts. Aaah, that would've been better than the Ministry fiasco...can you imagine the riot? :D I'm almost tempted to write a fanfic or something on this.

Merlin's pants !!!.. looks like the detour from the original topic cost me lot , people forgot about the earlier covered points with respect to the original topic in the earlier posts..this perticular point of Dumbledore's portrait at Hogwarts was covered earlier..n twila I expected more from a talented fan fiction writer .. but it seems fair enough since now everything sounds a bit out of the loop due to the detour..

Remember, the entire topic is actually about easing the burden put upon the young leading trio n not increasing it..of course y would Harry walk into Hogwarts to chit chat with Dumbledore's portrait in headmaster's office when Snape was the headmaster?.. he had enough troubles to deal with..Harry didn't know Snape was a double agent..Dumbledore knew it..Snape was actually under his command..so OBVIOUSLY I WASN'T TALKING ABOUT HARRY WALKING INTO Hogwarts, I was talking about Dumbledore's portrait being more useful without blowing off Snape's cover..n knowing Dumbledore, he could have helped the leading trio enormously if he had tried to b more useful than that by using his trademark clever secret tricks..the sword of griffyindore was a blessing to the leading trio which was of course Dumbledore's effort combined with Snape's.. but I feel the portrait could have been much more helpful than that...

On a more serious note, please do consider Bookworm's suggestion of Hogwarts fiasco for next fan fic..it would b terrific..

Yes it was, that's y I didn't explain it in detail here but I guess I should have since the detour has created a gap in the discussion..

OK, now m going off the topic again, so please excuse me coz I have to say the following..

Yes!.. if u do write this fan fic, I have some suggestions...my suggestions r basically inspired by my frustration n a way to get over it..u know, its somewhat similar to all the Romoine and Hinny moments in ur current fan fic.. u r giving people what they want ..n may b in this fan fic , u can give me what I want..my suggestions r as follows...

1.You can make this incident just as action filled as the ministry fiasco ( bookworm's idea), start with the similar nervousness the leading trio had b4 getting into the ministry..first it would b calm, nervous atmosphere and towards the end of this adventure it could turn into full blown action sequence just like it was in the ministry wherein they escape by the breadth of a hair!

2. We need a motive n inspiration for the trio to break into Hogwarts.. I feel it would b better to plan this b4 the horcrux realization that Harry had through Voldy's mind connection bcoz then the final battle at Hogwarts n this adventure will over lapse..so u can plan it right after they escape from Xenopheleus n b4 they r taken to Malfoy Manor..u can coincide it with Harry's hallow obsession and Ron &Hermoine's desperate attempts to get him back in the horcrux game..for inspiration, u can make something slip from the headmaster's portrait that they carried with them, that Snape is travelling somewhere ( which actually would b Dumbledore n Snape's idea to get them in the headmaster's office to talk to Dumbledore).. this intentional slip of tongue( u can add more reasons here as per ur imagination) together with the possibility of finding another horcrux encourages them to undertake Hogwarts adventure..

3. Now it gets really tricky , the adventure rests upon ur shoulders..

4. You can add a hearty McGonagall - Harry plus his friends moments.. that would b nice..just like Harry had a brief hearty moment with his professor in the ravenclaw tower b4 the battle at Hogwarts ..

5. Well for me it would b nice if Harry actually gets to talk to Dumbledore's portrait but if u dont want to stray away from the real story , u can make it seem like he was about to do it but had to leave on an emergency notice from Hermione.. or u can actually allow him to talk to the portrait but get him out of there b4 too much is revealed..

6. Then after the final adrenaline filled getting away from Hogwarts, they can go to another hiding spot, u can show Voldmort's rage on the Carrows for failing to capture Harry ( Snape should b excused since he should have planned his absence from Hogwarts during the fiasco giving the charge to the Carrows.. bcoz he had to b away doing something for Voldy himself).. please show the Carrows torture..they weren't tortured enough in the books..

7. Afterwards, the rest of the events of the book follows, Harry breaking the taboo and being captured n sent to Malfoy maner ..so u can end right after the Carrows r tortured by voldy..

Anyways, the above mentioned r just half baked suggestions..would b great, if u write a fan fic about it..
