I cried most when Sirius died..
but some where deep in my heart I knew it he is going to be a tragic hero..
I would love to save Fred.. He just can't die.. Fred and Geroge should always be together..
I cried like a maniac when Fred died..
The way Rowling portrayed George's reaction made me cry even harder.. all the other Weasleys were crying but George was sitting on his knees.. a part of George died with Fred..😭
I just hate to remember that scene again..
I love to pretend Fred did not die.. it was one of his joke.. worst one..

I chose Fred because he was one of the youngest on the list and by process of elimination.

Dumbledore lived a very long fulfilling yet tragic life, I think it's about time he went on that great adventure.

As much as I love Sirius, Azkaban had a detrimental effect on him and then he spent the next year imprisoned in his ancestral house. Azkaban had stunted his growth and he was very attached to James so I think he's better off dead.

While I love Remus and Tonks, I don't like Remus/Tonks. Tonks as a character changed a lot for the worse especially in HBP and Remus gets to see/live with his best friends that accepted him as a werewolf and so I don't see the need to bring him back to a world that doesn't accept him but yah it would be nice for Teddy to have his parents.

I never really liked or disliked Cedrics character, he's one of those that didnt leave much of an impact on me but he didnt deserve to die that young. He's probably the second person I'd bring back cos he had a whole future mapped out for him but died cos he was at the wrong at the wrong time.

Moody lived a long paranoid life and was too much affected by the wars and his life as an auror, I think he deserves to rest and scare the crap out of the dead with his 'constant vigilance'.
I don't really like Snape and his life choices has led him to death at the end and hopefully Snape can restart his life fresh after death. I can't imagine him in these new wizarding world and I'd prefer if he wasn't around to bully kids in hogwarts. I think he's better off dead and hopefully he has the chance to make all the right choices and mend things with Lily.
I love Hedwig and Dobby but their deaths was pivotal for Harry's development.

As for Fred, there's a lot for him in the new world and I just felt it was cruel to tear him from George, they're we're very co-dependent throughout their lives and life for George must really hard especially looking at the mirror must always serve to remind him of what he lost

wow that was an excellent interpretation
i love how you selectively eliminated each one..
i too had a hard time choosing. My final 4 were Sirius,Snape,Fred and Hedwig
As for Snape i would have liked him to survive the war and let everyone know about his sacrifice but again he chose his way of life and like you said I too can't imagine him in the new wizarding world
And i'm huge animal lover so it was sad seeing Hedwig die but like you said her death was important for the story
Regarding Fred ,yes I agree like most of them here that he shouldn't have died being so young and also his death didn't bring any advantage in the story
But again I believe though his life was short he did live it to the fullest , making each day count..Though i cried a lot reading his death now i don't feel much sorry for him..But I feel very bad for George and it must have been very hard for him to cope up .When i think about him i still get an inclination to chose Fred over Sirius..
Most of Sirius's life was a misery that too because of a crime he didn't commit ..Towards the end he looked desperate for a life full of freedom and happiness. So it was heartbreaking to see that being chased away from him
also I would have liked a parental figure watching over Harry as he go through the stages of his life

actually I don't feel bad for Fred.. he had short life he did live it to the fullest
He was brave who sacrificed his life in a battle against evil..

I feel bad for George.. he had to live without his brother..
they were very much co-depended.. I was watching the movie today.. n again I was crying at the scene..

so I'm not goona say Fred is the poor guy.. George was the poor guy..😭
