Would Harry and Cho worked?

hey guys I am mid-way through my annual reading of HP series😆 and I'm on OotP and I just got through the kiss scene between Cho and Harry and it got me thinking

do you think that genuinely Harry and Cho would have worked as a couple?

I think (keeping aside my dislike for her jealousy with Hermione...coz no one messes with Hermione😎) anyways I feel like if the relationship was explored further it would have really worked. Dont get me wrong I love Hinny (Harry-Ginny) too but I still think that their relationship was too out of the blue (for me atleast) and just was weird in the beginning where Harry spent two books dreaming about Cho and then bam he just starts to have feelings for Ginny. I know Ginny is his true love and all but still I felt like it came weirdly epecially when Ron and Hermione's relationship had such a good buildup.

Anyways I think that if JKR hadnt chose Ginny to be Harry's partner then Cho and Harry would have made a good pair (I said good not great😛) I mean atleast for a relationship that lasts more than one date or maybe have them date for a while and then have Harry fall for Ginny. I feel like the whole emotionally confused, vulnerable girl and love struck, heroic lead would have been a good angle to a romantic aspect of the story.



PS- I mean the book version of Cho not the movie version.
What are your thoughts on this?

i don't think so...wen u compare Ginny (his wife nd love) and cho, ginny used to understand harry completely even wen thy were not in a relationship whereas cho never tried to understand him whether it be always talking about cedric's death wich harry hated to hear or be it her jealousy 4 hermione...so i think Ginny was perfect 4 him

hmm i never liked cho! she is too irritating and harry ofcourse deserved better! all she did was cry and talk of cedric! whereas ginny was like perfect for harry! it does look like a lil out of the blue but its f9 by me! i love hinny!:)

hahah I agree that her talking about Cedric was wrong especially in front of Harry but I guess Hermione explained it perfectly of why she would be jealous

but I think that if JKR hadnt planed on making Hinny endgame I think Cho-Harry would have lasted atleast for one year or a few months, I mean I know ultimately the story is supposed to be about Harry's battle with Voldemort and not his love life but JKR could have shown him in a relationship to establish a real school life type thing like she did with Lavender-Ron and Ginny-Dean and so on

i didn't like cho with harry...

They could have gone on a few more date. For me hinny came out of the blue. But still Cho was very whiny. So may be it could have been better had she been a little more sensible..

even i felt Hinny coming out of blue a bit!!...n 4 cho ,it would have been really good if she didn't spend all their tym simply crying abt cedric!!..

^exactly, agree with everything...I love the books the way they are and admire JKR for writing them in the way she has but my OTP for HP will always be Harmony for some reason. As much as I love Romione, Harmony was the one that stuck with me throughout the end of the series

Luna and Harry have a special relationship, one that not even Hermione and Harry shared, even though they had minimal scenes in the books, I always thought they had connected on a whole other level. I was actually thinking when I first read OoTP when Cho-Harry ended that it might be Luna who would have been with Harry, because I had given up hope thinking that Harmony would be canon anymore. I think Luna with Harry or Neville would have been amazing

I think you are right that Harry and ginny came out of no where, but Cho's personality to me seemed a little loose! She was a kind that could be influenced by anyone! and the whenever she would say something, it would be related to Cedric which wasn't what Harry wanted to talk about. I think Cho's real love was Cedric!
