Harry Potter the TV series?

Sorry if the title sounds misleading😛

but just this thought came to me (I believe this topic was made before as well). Anyways looks like adapting book series into TV shows seems to be the in-thing right now in Hollywood some examples:

The Vampire Diaries(based off the book series)
The Secret Circle(based off the book series)
Pretty Little Liars(based off the book series)
Once Upon A Time (based off fairy tales)
Merlin (based on Arthurian legends)
Game of Thrones(based on Song of Ice and Fire series)
Grimm(based on fairy tales)
True Blood(based off Southern Vampire Mysteries books)

Now that the franchise is officially over, as much as we will never let it be over and it will remain in our hearts forever. The truth is that there will be no more HP books and movies to look forward to😭. This got me thinking, do you think that a HP tv series could work? as in if this does end up happening maybe in 3-4 years or so do you think that it will click with us Potter-heads?. Plus I think also with Game of Thrones, Once Upon a Time and Merlin (being the similar genre of HP) have worked so well this could be applied to HP as well.

I think that adapting HP into a TV series will be awesome because then you would get to see the back stories that are shown in Pottermore. Maybe also get some other back stories added in plus also it would show the stuff they have left out in the movies, also if they do adapt the series into a show it can easily last a good many years since each Hogwartian year could be a season😛

any thoughts on this?

i have always wanted tv series! that way we could get more of hp! ill be the happiest person if it happens like that but the problem is i am not sure if ill like anyone in dan.emma.rupert's place! it will be really odd!

but who cares?? we want more of hp!!!

i agree wid u!! i always thot of HP as TV series like Friends, super natural etc. and i wanted dan, emma & rupert playing their parts & not just them but whole cast shud remain same. though i don't like severus snape's ckt v. much but Alan Rickman really did a gud job & made me feel more disgusted 2wards snape's ckt!!and dumbeldore, minerva, hagrid & so many oder ckts played by actors make it almost impossible 2 think oder actors playing their parts!!

i hope if sum1 ever thot of making TV series on HP they find exactly same cast like the present one!!in this way every incident or ckt or place described in the book also"ll get covered!!👏

^well as much as I love the original cast...I think it would kind of weird to imagine the trio as 11 year olds again😳😆

I mean this seems like a long stretch to happen...but I feel like maybe in 5-6 years or so when people think the hype has died down (not for me it never will) they can revive it again by making it into a TV show

I personally feel like an epic saga like Harry Potter would do wonders as a TV series (with the right writers and cast of course) just as it did as a movie franchise

i think u r thinking that i m saying abt dan, emma & rupert 2 b again play the part of 11yr.old. but i also know that its not possible & i only meant that they shud'd made it in TV series wid this cast simultaneously & if now it is 2 b made in TV series then hopefully new cast will b similar or can justify wid the ckts as present cast did or luks almost similar 2 these!!

Thats indeed a great idea...! This thought did come to my mind as well.. But then.. Even i feel that if such a thing happens, its gonna be really difficult to match upto people's expectations as far as the cast is concerned..! We have grown up watching the series on big screen... And after all these years, i guess its gonna be immensely difficult to digest any other face as HP, or Hermoine, or Ron or Snape.. Other characters can still be managed by different actors.. As they mostly depend on the characteristions! I surely cannot imagine anyone other than Alan Rickman as Snape .. Or Dan as HP.. Etc! Thats gonna be immensely difficult for the makers.

Nevertheless, thats a great idea for HP fans like us! The details of the book can only be depicted perfectly in a series show..! I hope someone worthy takes up this challenge..! 😊
