Yet again, Harry Potter has been nominated for the 83rd Annual Academy Awards, more commonly known as the Oscars. Yes! Harry Potter and the deathly Hallows part 1 team members Tim Burke, John Richardson, Nicholas Ait'Hadi and Christian Manz have been nominated for the Best Visual Effects category.
Initially it had been listed along with 14 other films for its visual effects, with films like Chronicles of Narnia:Voyage of the Dawn Treader and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, but later was short listed along with Alice in Wonderland,Hereafter,Inception,Iron Man 2,Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Tron: Legacy.

The film has also been nominated for 2 categories at the BAFTAs, the British equivalent of the Oscars. The categories are Best visual Effect and Amanda Knight and Lisa Tomblin have been nominated for best make-up and hair.
So we wish the team good luck for making it yet again to the Oscars and the BAFTAs.
The BAFTAs will be held on 13th February 2011 and the Oscars will be held on 25th January 2011(Tuesday).
