Emerson is a sweetie - look what he did!

Today at the Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore, my brother and MuggleNet webmaster Emerson presented a signed copy of Half-Blood Prince to Notre Dame Head Football Coach and former New England Patriots Offensive Coordinator Charlie Weis. The book was auctioned off for $1,800, the proceeds benefitting Charlie and Maura Weis' Hannah and Friends Foundation, a non-profit charity improving the quality of life for children and young adults affected by Autism and Global Delays, like Coach Weis's daughter Hannah. Emerson had the book signed when he interviewed JK Rowling in Scotland last summer. He also spoke with the crowd about his experiences running the world's most-visited Harry Potter site.

Last month, Emerson sponsored for MuggleNet a private midnight screening of Goblet of Fire for Notre Dame students who were all given free MuggleNet T-shirts and stickers! The show sold out within hours of being promoted and was a huge success. Phoenix Files author Chris Stephen helped organize the event.
