It would give us a break from that cliche ending, I'll admit... but still, I've lived with Harry so long... lol... it'll be mixed for me, I guess.

I agree with rashmi it would be a gud break apart from the cliche ending. But keeping JKR in Mind I can say that after what I read of her from her writings in the books and her interviews she seems tome to be a very mature woman who dosen't belive in going with the flow...... we see even in her interviewes that she keeps on dropping certain hints about the future in her novels every now n then.......

so i bet she has something stranger in store for us.

till she gives a clue or someone snooping around finds sumthing out... I guess its going to be wait and watch.

(BANG) - Harry Potter is to be killed off, it has been claimed.

Author of the hit series JK Rowling is reportedly desperate to wipe out the boy wizard because she has lived with him for too long.

Actor Jim Dale, the voice of Harry in the US audio books, says Rowling recently confessed to him the seventh book - which she is currently penning - will be the end of the much-loved magical tales.

Dale, who did not reveal how the teenager would meet his fate, confessed: "Book seven is the final one. She's lived with Harry Potter so long she really wants to kill him off."

Rowling has always remained tight-lipped about the future for Potter and his pals. When asked whether the bespectacled star reaches adulthood, she enigmatically replied: "You have to wait and see whether he survives to be a grown-up."

Meanwhile, actor Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Potter in the movie version of the novels, also believes his character might die.

He said: "I do maintain there is a possibility he could be killed in the final book."

Rumors Fly About Harry's Fate

The ever-so-trustworthy British tabloids are running wild with an ambiguous quote from Jim Dale, the voice of the American editions of the HP books, that says what we all know: That J.K. Rowling may kill Harry in book seven.

(Hint: She also may not.)

The Mirror says "the revelation will shock millions of die-hard Potter fans," and bases the 'discovery' on Dale's quote of "She's lived with Harry Potter so long she really wants to kill him off," which is clearly a personal assessment and not a statement on Rowling's behalf.

The Daily Record has jumped in with the same story.

Update: A spokesperson for Rowling has assured us that these comments were taken out of context in a gossip column.


i hope that puts all doubts to rest

i read the news in the morning and imagine after reading that my whole day was spoilt in school. 😕
But i wish it does'nt happen 😛 😛

she cant kill harry...dont u understand. there are some really really crazy hp fans out there...who could die for harry potter. if jk rowling does kill him then all those crazy fans will hate her...they will do all sorts of stuff that could be a great loss to her...they are crazy, remember. and of course, if she does kill harry, i will be one of those crazy fans hating her forever 😉
