Karan Mehra's death defying escape

Accident prone Karan Mehra of Pari Hoon Main almost got fatally injured on the sets of the serial recently.

During a night sequence schedule, the actor got hit in the thigh by a heavy base that supports lights, right in the middle of a shot. Onlookers say that the object missed his head by centimeters.

"After the bolt from the blue hit me, I was in terrible pain," says the actor. "I became numb and was immediately attended to by the set people around. As it was the next day telecast, I had to resume the shoot quickly."

While the production house called for a doctor, the location and the lateness of the hour prevented a doctor rushing to the scene. The poor actor eventually had to eat simple pain killers and resume his shot.
