Shocked to see the clipping that a mother is shown in a bad light. Will ever a mother torture her son in this manner. She will never. This is of a bad taste. Creative writers are requested not to show parents in poor light as it will send a bad message to the younger generation. If a mother doesn't like her DIL, she moves away from their life and will not torture both son and DIL to achieve her target. This serial which was the best has gone to dogs. Story line is moving away. Nikhil who is portrayed as loving someone and marrying someone was really good. They should have continued how he handles the two women in this life and not in this manner. Writers remember you have send good message to audience and not bad thoughts.

Not every mother is the same and to show a caring and perfect mother figure all the time is just wrong, there are bad mothers out there. Barkha seems to like seeing her son miserable and pining for her love and now his not doing that anymore it irritated her more, had barkha had been a better mother she would not have lost her first son who was desperate to make it up to her and another who she made guilty all his life so miserable

I think this is a show based on a fictitious story not factual! And there are mums who can actually go to any extent to justify their ends. If all characters are portrayed as perfect it would be boring and far from reality!

actually I know such moms who are like this. I have seen a friend suffering from mother just bec he is less religious than rest of the clan, how she treats him like dirt makes me feel sad, on top she tormented him by paying for one daughter's wedding but giving him 500 dollars for his wedding. Such people do exist in society.Women abandon their children too,so mothers are generally good but some are there who r not and barkha is one such woman who needs to get rid of skeletons from her closet. Her equation with nik makes this story much more interesting in my opinion.
I find way they showed barkha is amazing--- we see her deep sense of care for nik too...many times her small unconscious gestures are out of extreme sensitivity to loosing one child and scare of p[possibly loosing the second one too.I like her role, it adds a big dimension to the story.

I actually like Barkha's character and think she portrays her character brilliantly! She's an amazing actress and it's interesting to watch such complex characters being portrayed instead of the typical mother role all the time!

I really agree that there are Moms like Barkha. Definitely it is fiction and they can portray any character as they like. But only point was why should parents be shown in a poor light when they can do wonders portraying them in a magnanimous way. Ofcourse, Barkha is doing her role very well. what she has to do in that character she sinks into it. What is the use of losing your children by harrasing them...

Hey Guys,
The actions of Barkha are the actions of a sick person. No mother in her right mind would stoop to such depths. Barkha needs medical help.

As regards, Ratri, now that's a more difficult case. I don't think that money drives her it's more likely that it's naked ambition and is top heavy on ego.

None the less, the show has got added spark. Which is what the CV'S intended to do.

Sadly mothers like this do exist - sadly my mother is one of them. We sadly haven't spoken for over a year. She just wants to control every aspect of my life - despite the fact I am a happily married mother of three! What's so shocking about a portrayal of a bad mother? There are many of them out there!
