Now and Then.... GD and the original

The original version of GD was made in Bengali it was a success may be 2-3 years ago.
An article was out Sana(the lead actress) mentioned nothing gonna change in this Hindi version also.
Don't you think with the change of mentality after these elapsed years some few, small changes should be brought in this Hindi version to suit nowadays viewers??
I'm talking about Lajjo behaviour mainly, as everything else are fine.
Lajjo after today episode is aware that Nikhil is in love with Ishana.
The same Lajjo as was portrayed initially, having the courage to reject a man standing in front of her as her groom will not try at least to leave Nikhil house as she knows she has stepped in between Nikhil and Ishana...??
For her own self respect?
I think all these will still be a good track, if she reaches and stays a few weeks in the village will not harm the show as the track will still be worth watching.
Now Ladies add your ideas.

Lajjo will leave just not now, da story needs nikhil to start feeling somethig at least for lajjo before she goes back to her village. Right now nikhil can not see beyond ishana, it's gonna take him time considering ishana was the love of his life. As for lajjo it will also take her time before it sinks that she needs to leave nikhil cause he loves someone else.

I don't think Lajjo will leave and would just play more aloof and just try to be his friend instead. She would burry her feelings of being in love with him and then eventually she might leave...just not at the moment. I think that is the only way that there relationship can actually grow; if Nikhil just see Lajjo as a friend it would be more safe for him to slowly recover from his feelings from Ishana. Plus it would be too early and i would hate it if she gave in to what Nani and Barkha wanted by having her kicked out the house.

I would like Lajjo to leave but not right now as everyone mentioned Lajjo leaving now won't have much effect on Nikhil and who wants to see Nani and Barkha gloating around about it, Lajjo will distance herself from Nikhil and try to be good friends with him..I have no idea about the Bengali version but let's see how the makers plan to take this 😊

You all are predicting Lajjo will keep distance from Nikhil or know this for a fact?

I read that even in Bengali version Lajjo leaves Nikhil. So, this will happen but eventually.

See, thats the thing about Hindi serials, the woman always have to be the sacrificing goat despite having the courage and gut to stand for oneself in the beginning. Anyways, coming to the show itself, and at the bold part, Lajjo will not leave and thats not a damper in her strong fighting spirit, WHY? Well because she always knew the marriage was a compromise- she did not realise its significance back then, but yesterday she did just that- (Fair enough her feelings have evolved and she has realised what her husband meant when he said this was all a compromise and that he will not give her, her rightful place). Plus,Nikhil has not lied to her, he just did not tell her about the girl, but he was very clear from the beginning! and the marriage was forced upon both of them because of circumstances,hence not making it Nikhil's fault, nor a fault of Lajjo that will damper her self respect.

I believe now that she knows, she will support his love for Ishaana and that was the concept of the show (if am not mistaken) and how their relationship develops on a friendship ground, which will eventually turn into more once Nikhil matures up and realises what he as done. But for now Lajjo will step forward to help her husband as a friend, and eventually when she believes she has sorted the damage she will leave.

PS!- I think it would be more interesting, for Nikhil to remember how Lajjo always wanted to study and enrol her in a course whilst she tries to help him and Ishaana, now that would be an interesting track!

PPS!- No idea about the original Bengali version- :S!
