I think Avi is in delimma coz two important women of his life is saying two different language. All of a sudden arpi behaviour and selection of word by her during the argument has hit his mind and hert both.

So, maybe there can be something like this: Arpi k saath uska kuch jhagra ho jaaye and in that process maybe Arpi gets hurt or something...tab uski aankh khul jaaye and he again tries becoming the old Avdesh 😳
