Oh well pointed out Mini! I was so busy deeming it the filmy reaction 😆 that I didn't read that alter hint. True, he casts away the 'dark black shades' to look at the true colors of his true Gulaal for once!

He expresses this sentiment later"main teri khushi main apni khushi doondh
leta hoon"I love this scene.

Aww despite how bad those couple episodes were in the finale week - the dialog was so Kesar! He does it forever, and ever - being happy in her happiness, and unlike Gulaal, as I always say, he's not a sacrificing guy giving up his own happiness for another, nope! His exhilaration is truly the peak every time he can witness Gulaal in her element! It just perks him up like nothing else - and that stands a fact from as long back as he has known her! Happy Gulaal has always equaled Happy Kesar. ☺️

special mention to the beautiful BG music.I believe this is the first time they used "piyu maari"music on KG.

^^ It is I think too. And interestingly the first time they play the piyu maari song itself for GK is also the bagh sequence, the next one, when Kesar brings Gulaal out with her friends!

After writing the whole thing I noticed that this scene is not up for discussion.but I love this scene so putting it up hope
you don't mind.

^^ aww, of course not - I posted the scene because it did have GK in nuance even if not in the most significant way!

If
Gulaal suggested this it shows that she knows that if Kesar is given the task he would not take them because of her. <--- So basically Kesar is not even an option, Dushyant is just taken as the obvious man to drive them - because remember that's how it has been for a decade until Kesar came back. Kesar comes into picture when Talli is told that Dushy is away and Kesar walks in at the same time - so Gulaal doesn't propose Dushyant's name to avoid Kesar because he wont want to take her - but when it does zero down to Kesar as driving them, she has her visible doubt that he would say no - as he tries to!
I love that small eyelock it's like there's no one else in the
room except the two of them.
Aah, isn't it always like that, for these two?! They can be so oblivious of alter presence, when its about them! Let's not forget the peak of such oblivion, that Kesar on the dhol scene at Kulli engagement! ☺️

Talli's genius
idea to take a different route very funny reactions from Kesar.and finally the destination arrives.

Lol @ Talli and genius in the same sentence, but yes, she does almost deliver a prophecy when she tells them they'll be thanking her for this 'detour'! And yes, me too Mini - the KT banter in this scene is actually cute - Kesar totally gets a kick out of being a jackass with Talli 😆 waise bhi mujhe teri samjhdaari par shaq hai 🤣 tujhe to shaq hai Kesar, humein to yakeen hai 😆

Jzee your write up regarding the Dil hai chota sa scene is so true.you have written everything and so in Neil's words "same here.ab kya bolun sab kuch tho bol diya".

Not to forget a quick mention to Neil's expressions for Kesar right at the start as he too finally gets out of the jeep and overhears the 'girls chatter' - the ladies man, as Srushee aptly calls him 😆 I love how all the attitude and all the gruff and all the cold - and everything synonymous to those acts - are despite himself overpowered by his curious amusement at the girls. Or well, the girl. The way he dips his head for a second, to purse his mouth, before following their tracks into the bagh - is all the proof in the world, that his intrigue is too luring for the 'facade' to be held up. Kesar's reactions in the much later to come hopscotch scene at the Gulaal he gets to see then, with her friends back in her childhood, is like an advanced and much more evolved version of the reaction we get here and now.

exactly he tries so hard to be rude when he really wants to let go and have fun with his childhood friends.and in the end his curiousity to follow"the girl"wins out and follows her as it is usually the case.ah that hopscotch scene was so cute.

On a side note - the video derives its title from the moment Kesar takes his shades off - such a herogiri move 😆 - to the sight of Gullu's open hair, which as we well know takes a count of 3, 2, 1 to have him go 🤪 😆 oh-so-filmy 😆

so funny but very true.

I like how the camera first indicates the sufficient distance between them, and the look they share shows a contrast of the distance as if evaporating! The famous charge is high strung between them - whatever the 'physical' distance; and in fact contrary to the chatt scene where the proximity had sprung up some of the charge - here it is purely the characters and their history which makes this moment so live!

This is what I like about this show.the leads here did not have any of those conventional romantic scenes but still their chemistry works due to all the underlying emotions and tensions.the history as you rightly said makes their beautiful love story so believable.

how Kesar refrains from commenting on her shocking baby pink nail paint 🤣

maybe Gulaal got only that one shocking colour when she came to Talsagara on camel back😛.It was quite funny.I think Manasi likes the colour cause i have seen the same in one of her other scenes and it is distracting cause it is indeed shocking pink😆

ok something has gone wrong terribly.all the black paragraphs are from Jzee's write up on which I am commenting.😃

[QUOTE=Maz.. He manages to brush aside PB's words, but then comes MB very casually asking him to take them, and special focus when he says dikkat..MB ko kya pata, Kesar ke liye kitni badi dikkat hai yeh, but you can see that MB is watching him cautiously probably thinking over what Gulaal had mentioned earlier about getting Talli and Kesar hooked.
oh I had forgotten about that.that's why he had that curious expression while watching Kesar Gulaal and Talli.maybe he was trying to understand what was going on.

@Jeep scene..Talli sandwiched between two warring souls..lol..each lost in thought or just blankly staring out I guess. As much as Talli annoyed on many occasions, its good that because of Talli as a character, we get to see different sides to Kesar, one where he is teasing and pulling her leg so often, the sarcastic humor, she definitely is a better friend around Kesar than his bunch of guy friends whose only aim is to get high on alcohol.

"warring souls"good description.Talli actually makes sense when she is in the friends mode. It's only when she goes into love Kesar mode that she becomes the annoying, silly girl.
Talli's dimaag ki batti jalti hai, she finds this as a perfect opportunity to give Gulaal a slice of her younger days as a carefree teenager, and Talli scores!

'tum dono mera ehsaan manoge yeh raasta dikhane ke liye'...so true in a way..she did show Kesar the way at a crucial point in their lives, which was desparately needed then.
she did do that.she kept her promise.she did it for Gulaal too in a scene but she was in such a state of total denial that nothing Talli said got through to her.

The disbelief in Gulaal's eyes at witnessing the sight around her..wonderful expressions by MP..LOVEE the piano notes in the background. She closes her eyes and soaking it all in, runs her hand through the leaves, and she can see herself playing with her friends, it seems like a different world altogether, one where there were no restrictions and boundaries to be confined within. Loved the choice of song here, very very apt the small little desires she harbored while growing up. And then she snaps out of her reverie, I like how persistent Talli is here, she shoots down all attempts by Gulaal to go back.

'Mehsoos toh kar rahi hoon'..and Talli points out how she is tied down. Gulaal was experiencing the beauty of the place but still not completely letting go, if she had to become the 18yr old again for a while, the ghoonghat had to go. And keeping track of stalker jee on the side..shades come off to get a look of Gulaal, he's surprised to see her like this. The entire scene with Gulaal running after Talli and Kesar's eyes following her is simply beautiful poetry in motion. He cannot comprehend at this point in time the way she affects his soul, he just goes with the flow.

LOL @the title for the vid JZ.. that is so like it..you know the cartoonish way where you have the heart symbols in the eyes! lol

He has always found it hard to hate on her, but it was still so much easier when he was away from her for many years, the close promixity has made it extra difficult and now compounded with this new set of feelings for him to deal with, he doesn't even know how to define them and it takes him by surprise each time.
that is his love isn't it?even after all the misunderstandings he just couldn't hate her cause he loved her truly.he even expresses the same thing in one of his letters "kyun main tujhse nafrat nahi kar pa raha hoon"or something like that.

I love when she falls down laughing..shes thoroughly enjoying herself...and then she spots Kesar, all this while she did seem to momentarily forget that Kesar was even around with them. I like how one minute he is embarassed to be caught watching her and he hesitates to walk to her when he sees her unable to stand up, but he finds the courage to do it finally.

And he helps by pressing her feet...OK random but did anyone else get distracted with MP's fuschia pink nail color?! I did.. Lol
ah..that colour doesn't match well with her lehenga😆

I loved how he is so gentle with her in this whole scene, he doesn't want her to feel the pain, So contrasting to the emotional pain he has been belting out to her and himself all these days. And then he gives a hand to help her get up, very symbolic of the how he will be by her side when she is in need of support, to pick her up, and stand by her always. Interesting parallels to this pre-leap scene where she takes both Vasant and Dushyant's hand after she falls from the bicycle. Back then Vasant was the man who would be her caretaker and protect her, after his death and after Dushyant got over his obsessive lover phase, he did stand up for her whenever possible, but now, there is Kesar for everything.

P.S Kesar in shades..quite dashing..😆 I love how he stands there hands on hip and giving these expressions 'seriously girls?' and then walks towards them 😆 Nur if you are making avis from this sequence, would love one for this bit, if its no trouble!

^^ True Parchu, while the whole get conscious of each others presence begins on an awkward note, it increasingly gains a more wary tone to itself, especially as Kesar approaches her, and Gulaal looks at him with unsure hooded eyes. She has no reason to expect him to help - even if that's the most obvious thing he's going to do, to any outside onlooker!

Throughout that scene Kesar is breathing heavily though the grls did all the running...it was a very beautiful nuance brought out to show, how zapped he was and what Gulaal was doing to him at that point.

Oh yes!!! He's constantly going through interludes of holding onto his breath, then exhaling slowly moments after like breathing is the next more laborious task to 'avoiding' Galool! Its so well done by Neil - and I'd like to point out the difference in his strained breathing vs, Gulaal's heaving from the running when falls on her back laughing - she too breathes heavy at that point, but its entirely from the chase. Kesar on the other hand - as you said - is so taken by her, he's 'forgotten' to breath in reflex and is almost having to remind himself time and again to do so!

esaki topoori life khana bananeme aur khilane me jayegi 😆😆😆

If I'm honest - I think even Kesar has a *shakes head at compulsive Galool* air about him, when he hears her say that 😆 Its like he has to fight the urge to retort and tell her as much! Not as 'kindly' as Talli does 😆

it was cute.Talli is a nice character but the show gave her too much of screen space after a point which just became unbearable.and that screen space could have been used to show more of Kesar and Gulaal.oh the horror of final week.I still shudder thinking about it.
but i have to exclude the last two episodes .I loved the emotional goodbye scene a lot and final confession made up for the entire week.

LOL - yeh, he's almost on the verge of a good deed when Gulaal appears in the picture and makes opportunity for classic brat boy 😆 And he's just come back from visiting the police station to get Vasant's murder case file reopened - so technically, yes Maz, he may not be 'physically tired' but this entire investigation and running around for justice does take its alter toll on him. So fairly, benefit of doubt to him - except we know the nahin is thrown purely for Gulaal's benefit!

@Jeep scene..Talli sandwiched between two warring souls..lol..each lost in thought or just blankly staring out I guess.

So Talli unassumingly says two brilliant things here! Yes, unassuming is the operative word 😆

"aise hi chalte rahe to kal tak to pahunch hi jayenge" ... I like the subtle undertone of this dialogue with reference to GK, especially as it comes after giving us one good look each at Mr. Attitude and Missy. Ever-Obliging. It could almost be twisted to translate as aise hi chalta raha, to agle janam mein hi milenge ye dono 😆

and then ofc -

'tum dono mera ehsaan manoge yeh raasta dikhane ke liye'...

Its ironic how what she claims to be a shortcut actually turns out to be one in a figurative sense. Its like a shortcut from all the bitter and sour to the dreamy and desiring, concerned and gentle!

LOL @the title for the vid JZ.. that is so like it..you know the cartoonish way where you have the heart symbols in the eyes! lol - Haha, when you get down to listing the details of this scene they can sound uber filmy 😆

He has always found it hard to hate on her, but it was still so much easier when he was away from her for many years, the close promixity has made it extra difficult and now compounded with this new set of feelings for him to deal with, he doesn't even know how to define them and it takes him by surprise each time.

WORD to that Maz - his pretense of hate for being betrayed was possible only because he kept her away for a decade. Which is why I have always maintained that if as in his own mind Kesar thinks he's punishing Gulaal by keeping distance - and yes, she does feel pained - what he's actually doing is struggling to keep the vengeance alive! He knows there is no other way, he knows it, because each letter as it gets revealed always shows some evidence of his realization, that the distance is more for his convenience than her penance!

And he helps by pressing her feet...OK random but did anyone else get distracted with MP's fuschia pink nail color?! I did.. Lol

🤣 yes yes, I said the same! I was almost expecting Kesar to ask her about it 😆

And then he gives a hand to help her get up, very symbolic of the how he will be by her side when she is in need of support, to pick her up, and stand by her always.

And again, exactly what I said too! The symbolism of how he will be helping her rise from her falls, easing her pain, and how readily she will allow him to take over that role then!

Oh true Maz - they've all had their chance of helping Gulaal rise from a fall. Interestingly in the pre leap scene Gulaal had taken Dushyant's hand only to play a tease on Vasant - but how little idea she had how far that tease would change her life! Its almost like she 'chose' her destiny to be as it was!
