kesar walked to his mother's room gently opened the door, paanba was sitting there with a pair of needles in her hand's knitting away.
she looked and saw him and smiled fondly 'aandar aan'. he walked up to her and said 'motaba kaha hai'.
'unko khuch kaam tha, dher se ayyenge'.
kesar nodded and sat n the floor near her feet and put his head in her lap, she put the needles aside and fondly stroked his hair, 'kya hua aaj bara pyaar aa raha hai'.
'haan baa, mein aapse bohot pyaar karta hoon, meri pyaari maa'.
'par baa aur koi bhi hai jisse mein bohot pyaar karta hoon'.
paanba knew what he was talking about and immidiately turned cold, 'pagal mat ban kesar, teri umar hi kya hai', and she shook him off picked up her needles and resumed knitting.
he gently cupped her face and turned it towards himself 'baa gulaal sach mein bohot acchi ladki hai, apne hi toh usse vasant baa ke liye pasand kiya tha, toh ab fark sirf itna hai ke voh meri patni hai, vasant baa ki nahi', tears brimmed in her eyes and he gently said to her 'mujhe pata hai aur ko baat hai, please bolyi na, kya baat hai'.
tears flowed form her eyes 'vasant, chalagaya gulaal ko chor ke, toh isak matlab yahi hai ki gulaal mein hi koi khaami hai'.
kesar stared at his mother stunned 'baa yeh aap kya keh rahi hai, vasant baa chale gaye, apni marzi se, iss mein gulaal ka koi dosh nahi hai aur na hi koi khami hai usme, voh wahi ladki hai jisko apne apni bahu banane ke apne ke saath choona tha'.
paanba just looked down unable to say anything.
'baa aap ko pata hai ke main aapki marzi ke bina kuch bhi nahi karta, lekin agar gulaal nahi toh aur koi bhi nahi' and he looked down.
he felt her pulling him close and went and hugged her,
'im sorry beta, main toh aise hi thodi paglon ki jaisa harkaten kar rahi thi, tu sahi keh raha hai, gulaal se accha koi bhi nahi hoh sakta, par talli'.
kesar grinned and looked up at her 'uska intezaam toh maine kar liya hai'. and paanba smiled at him.

the next morning everyone sat at the dining table, ready to have breakfast. it was a beautiful morning
paanba and gulaal made
breakfast together, gulaal smiled pleasently, paanba was behaving extremly good to her, 'kesar ne kuch kiya hoga' and she smiled thinking about him.
as they went to the dining table everyone was seated.
talli sat next to rewa and devika and was giggling about something, jamna kaki and saru fui were deep in conversation.
suddenly motaba called gulaal over to him, she went and sat next to him.
'beti vakt aagaya hai, hum tere liye koi accha ladka dhoond le, tu kab tak yaha aise hi, ghoot ghoot ke jyegi'.
saru fui nodded in agreement 'bilkool aaj hi pandit jee ko bula kar'.
paanba came from behind and held gulaal shoulder's 'uss ki koi zaroorat nahi hai, main gulaal ko apne ghar ki bahu banoongi'.
saru fui stared stunned ' yeh tu kya keh rahi hai paanba, gulaal aur kesar, tune abhi kesar ki umar dekhi hai, vo iss zimizari ke liye tayar nahi hai'.
and then suddenly a voice came from behind them, gulaal looked up too see kesar 'kesar tayaar hai, saru fui, main gulaal se hi shaadi karoonga'.
saru fui stared at kesar confused 'yeh tu kya keh raha hai, tu kaise, mera matlab hai, koi gulaal se bhi phooch loh', and she turned to gulaal,
'beti tu kya chahti hai'.
gulaal looked up and could only see kesar's face, smiling at her, 'mujhe bhi issi ghar ki bahu bana hai' she said loking down shyly.
saru fui then smiled and said 'jab miya biwi raazi toh kya karega kaazi' and everyone started laughing
kesar looked at gulaal and she smiled specially for him.

kesar entered the room and looked at her, his beautiful wife, he had finally married her in the right way and everyone was happy.
gulaal sat on the bed twitching and feling extremly shy, 'she looked up to see him staring at her,
'aise kya dekh raha hai',
'kuch nahi,joh tere peeche wall painting hai usko dekh raha tha' he said smiling at her.
