Okay I just had to cap these two moments to make my point again, about the beauty of the having shadows in front and light behind them... like they may be in this 'eclipsed' phase right now, but light follows them in the wake:
And then this one, which I noticed much better now on HD - it's like Kesar's silhouette is lined with the light... like a silver lining around the dark clouds... the positioning is interesting because Kesar is outlined, Gulaal is only vaguely so - much more in the shadows herself... and he's looking at her... her angel silver lining!
And that said - awww I love the way he's in this absolute dorm mode when he gives the room a first look by the light - I swear I can imagine my brother giving exactly that look to his dorm room each term 😆 Oh boys! and then he catches sight of Gulaal all lost and simply looking mid air... main jaanta hu tu kya sochri hai is more about tuje ye sochre hona chiye! 😆
But notice THIS! When he tells her to get to the job, she first gives him this incredulous look (well as incredulous as it gets in her current subdued mode) not because she'd care about doing it, but because the impossibility of Kesar telling her to get to work like its her obligation alone - aaah! she knows he's a softie, he'd never say that! 😆 And then he makes the joke and she smiles... awww!
